Yes, many of us single-player offline mode people are still here and supporting SOTA! I am included in that. Not all of them are vocal against the MMO.

Seems like misunderstanding... Sorry, I will rephrase my self:
I'm asking IS Single Player offline mode is still in game and will be finished and supported? Or SP will be dropped and game will be pure MMO down the line? :(:(:(

Yes, this is true. Me for example - I'm not vocal against MMO, I'm vocal for the story and and a suitable single player offline mode :)

It is still in the game but I'm not sure about the future progress and support :( This mode isn't the main focus of the game.

Oh well, don't know what to say now, without been considered as "hater"...
Maybe some official answer on that?

Don't be discouraged! It has been explained a number of times by the devs that they had to get certain things done on the online side first and then more polish on the SPO side. I can't offer you scripture and verse, ie, I can't give you a clip of a particular dev stating this, but I know it's been said. @Spoon is the one who always digs that kind of thing up. I defer to him :p

You need to read Note 3 in the independent accountant's review of Portalarium's financial situation if you believe they are in the black. It is now a public fact, verifiable by anyone, that they are not and have not been. Any other statement is not the truth.

That isn't to say that you shouldn't back if you understand the statements in the independent accountant's review. Same for everyone else.

As with all other investments I've been involved with, it's a risk. However my personal opinion is it's not as big of a risk as some people have proposed. No. I don't have any inside information. It's a 'gut' feeling. Looking at the major players, their history, how Port is transitioning and so on. And of course, past performance does not indicate future revenue or losses/gains. Sure they could fall apart, but that's what happens when you invest. Or you could be wildly successful.

I've had both sides of the coin. I've invested once in a multi billion dollar company which folded. Stock dropped to $0.00. I've had other's which I cashed out way too soon! Made money yes but I should have let it ride. But that's life.

BTW, I'm not saying to invest or not. I am saying this is very typical for any startup reading through the seedinvest information. There is always risk. If someone feels this will be a failure. Then the answer is simple.

    Don't invest :)

I'm considering taking a position by reserving. I haven't decided yet. Either way, if I do invest, it will be with money I can stand to loose should things go south. I won't be happy if it does fail. But what if it wildly succeeds?

It is after all a risk. :D

After looking at my post I can see how it might be construed that I was advocating for not investing at all, which is not the case. To be clear, I was acknowledging someone else's concern. If people are so *worried* about Portalarium, don't invest. No need to have panties in a bunch and chafing the tender bits.

As to your points - simply put /agree :)

One will never know unless they put their name on that line... Just like @Lord British has done, and set the example before you.

The same goes for the rest of the community... This is it folks... The shot in the dark... The golden arrow...

If you don't get on board now, then don't be pissing and moaning if those that did get on board are reaping the fruits of their labor later...

    This is it...

This is from an articles dated yesterday from PC Gaming.

Still, in its risks and disclosures section, the company also said that even with a successful campaign, Portalarium would likely have to seek more money for the launch, and there is a risk that money won’t materialize.

So even after you buy into this company Portalarium states there is a possibility that they will need more funds to launch the game.

    Here is the link.

Take it for what you will.

There has always been a fund raising effort going on for the game developer side of Portalarium. There will continue to be fund raising efforts for the game developer side of the SotA for the foreseeable future.

This new initiative has been clearly stated to begin a Publisher role/side of Portalarium. As long as this side of the house is used to slingshot their current Episode 1 and future episodes, and possibly other other developed games, I see this as a great indicator where Portalarium can clean up its communications to everyone and be an efffective marketing machine.

Having read these for MANY companies in past years, sounds very familiar (and normal) to me. I've rarely read of any investment opportunity which hasn't said something along these lines.

So you are perfectly fine with giving money over and over again on something that was funded 4 years ago?
