the bears have a heck of a knockback now. ...but aside from being a swordswoman, i'm also an earth mage. why can i not root myself? i think this is a valid strategy!

 

That's certainly creative thinking!

Ideas like that are what is missed in the translation of creative table top role playing to online games where we are much more locked into the game mechanics.
