Would love to see a way to recursively set all of my own items in my house to 'private' or whatever permission - instead of having to go around and right click each one.. that's a lot of deco.

I'd also like to have the ability to set default permissions for a lot. Would really help with guild houses.

This feature is essentially mandatory with the recent changes.

Added a bulk update permissions method for items on a lot. While standing on the desired lot, in the chat window, type /BulkSetItemPermissions {kindred|trustee|owner|private} to set the “Remove or Modify” permission for all items placed by you on this lot to the desired level. For example, /BulkSetItemPermissions trustee. This command should be used sparingly and with caution, be sure you understand what it will do before using it! It has similar restrictions as Property Manager updates, sending characters on the lot to the front and causing a reload, and a five minute timer on repeat uses.

Hm, I went to one of the lots I have with the problem as the owner of the items marked private, and did /BulkSetItemPermissions kindred

and it updated them all to kindred.

i am trying to set things all to coowner and its hitting them randomly. And not sure if its for everything on the lot/house or what. Driving me nuts.

the co-owner option for the command line is actually 'owner' -- maybe that will be helpful?
    i.e:
    # /BulkSetItemPermissions owner

The bulk update just changes who has permissions to pick up the items into their inventory, nothing else. I.e., the ability to move items is not touched.

that is good then. Cause just about all my books are set to kindred..which i dont get. That might be a default setting on them i dont know. Thing is i only have coowners to my lots. And none are guild chapter. No one has other access. So not sure what the deal is. Frankly i think it was fine how it was but i understand why they changed it all. Just wish it was a bit easier to deal with. LOL

Kindred was the default access for everything forever... I honestly have no idea how things got set to "private" on some of my lots and not others... at first I thought it was related to the age of when the lot was claimed, but that's not it either. I.e., one of the lots is one of my newest lots.

The permissions you choose as defaults used ?to be tied to the game client - so if you set the default behavior when moving or placing items on 1 computer but also install the game somewhere else - the second install will revert the default behavior to the game defaults not what you set on the other game client install. - so any objects you moved or placed with the 2nd+ game client would have gotten the permission settings on that client install.

(A long time back I ran into some objects having kindred set when others were all co-owner - and figured out how it happened - At least this is how it was prior to this release)

Yeah, that's not this, same computer, wildly different settings on different properties.
