Shipping Address

    Has anyone else noticed that your shipping address seems to to change when you make a purchase from the store? Well i'm guessing that's what is causing the change.

    When the form to enter a shipping address as made available, I painstakingly went through all of my accounts and entered my office address because that is where I want items delivered as the chances are I probably wouldn't be at home. I'm sure i'm not the only one in this position.

    I noticed a little while ago that the shipping address of my main account had changed to my home address, at first I thought I had just entered my home address by accident so I swiftly changed it to my place of work. I now come to check again and the address has changed back and other accounts have done the same.

    If an address has already been populated onto this form, it should not be overridden by a purchase.

    I didn't fill my address in, but I see that they have it (sort of). I'm guessing I must have filled it in at somepoint in the past or perhaps via kickstarter. I'm also in the category that I don't want them to ship anything to the address they populated into the form. :-/

    I've updated it now but will need to keep an eye on it.

    Maybe it is snipping out your paypal address when you make a purchase.. or changing it to the address you use for your credit card for a purchase.

    It would be difficult shipping to the other campaign. Package deliveries to prison is limited.

    You got away lucky mystic woulda hit me with the ban hammer if I used the T word. I swear he has me on auto track for some reason. I think he was Pked at one time and holds a grudge or something.

    This thread reminded me that I have to update my shipping address which I entered when the form for the address first appeared. But I can't find the form on my account page any more. Wasn't there a tab for the address on the account page at one time? The only tabs I have are Pledges, Towns, Add-ons, etc., Payment plans, Gifts, Special Rewards, and Game Client/Steam. I looked under each tab and can't find a way to enter my address. I'm sure I'm overlooking something obvious.:(

    A lot of how we moderate is within context and debate of political issues, discussions, etc. When you start arguing about a political topic or person, and it's specific to engaging in a political discussion, will look especially like it could spark a debate or insult in the political arena, then that's where we start crossing lines.

    We'll be clarifying this further in an updated Rules & Guidelines, soon as I have time to craft them :).

    Yea ive no issue and in my post i eluded to getting a wall built to keep the elves out and was moderated. But i guess it would be offensive to the elves ;).

    Its all good though, for the record im glad u have joined us.:)

    I can say, I too updated my address to my office once upon a time (to allow my physical items to be sent to where I'll be when ever you get around to sending them :p :D ), but went to make an Addon store purchase with my CC, and it was trying to use the Shipping Address information and not my Home address - which is what the CC wants. I had to go and change the Shipping Address back to my home address before I could make my purchase... I have not yet switched it to my work address as I may want to purchase something again from the addon store. I am also planning to change it to my shipping address once we get another message from you guys about this... ;)

    Perhaps something like that affected the process in the OP's OP?

    What we need here is two addresses, like most places use, one for Billing, one for Shipping.. how about it, @Berek

    It might help any strange things from occurring, like they are right now? :)
