Today I sat on the stairs infront of the Oracle Temple. So many people running in and out to face the Oracle (again) and to receive their row lot ...

I saw so many people wearing the shroud. So there must be a lot of people caring for the story, I thought by myself ... And I remembered, sitting there and watching the watcher, how it was, as I entered the first time for the finale!

So excited about THIS first meeting with the Oracle face to face!
    And then ...
    ... it happened ... again:
... a lot of "Player xyz" floated my Dialogue window and in middle of this very special moment - a player was whispering ...

The Highlight of Episode 1 has a bad taste (not because of the story!) And now I am sitting on the stairs and asking myself:
is it worth to enter to receive the 100.000 XP and my Shroud (again!) and - of course - the Row Lot Deed, my first deed ever? I would like to do it - but I turn my back and disclaim ...

Waiting until the fixing of two things:
    1. NO MORE "Player xyz is on/off" in dialogue window
    2. NO MORE POP UP WINDOW while in dialogue ("Whispering")
Nothing seems so important, so it couldn't wait until I finished these few minutes of enjoying the dialogue:
Me and the NPC vis-a-vis ...

So, Avatars, if you wondered about this Paladin sitting infront of the Oracle Temple - now you know, what I was thinking about ;)

@Lord British, @Whoever is (online or offline) responsible ...

I read "The Sword of Midras". I like it and I really enjoyed reading :)
I read the story inside this game
    . I like it - but I really couldn't enjoy it :(

What I don't like are needless moments ...
everytime the technical information is shown inside the Dialogue window ...

I know, I am repeating. For sure, it will be the last time I am telling this bug.
And of course you can tell, it's "by design".
From my point of view it is a no go to interrupt an essential part of a game by technical information inside the dialogue window :( (I am not talking about the chat window!)

I did the whole questline for the second time - all paths - over the last months.
I really like the story - but honestly I have to confess I couldn't enjoy it the way I wanted - and how I should ...

Because all these "Player abc is online/offline" information is
    - Disturbing
    - Distracting
    - interrupting thoughts ...
    - destroying enjoyment for the storyline

Thinking about the story I remember I had to scroll a lot of times back and forward and re-read ...
    I shouldn't remember a great story this way, should I ? I really don't like it.
But brainwashed by "Player DDID is on/offline" ...
Well, what else should I remember? :(

What (first) Impression will it give to new players?

As I said before: This story deserves to be presented in a better way.
So good work has been done in a lot of ways.
All other tech information in chat window can be toggled. Why not this one?

It is not an essential information - but to read and follow the dialogues without interrupting IS essential for a player ... and for a deepdiving inside a story while reading ...

I am still hoping you fix it as soon as possible ...

Please, don't let me sit forever on the stairs ...
    Episode 2 is calling! :)

Toggle off Misc in chat window to get rid of the logging in/out messages.

I don't know if that will remove anything from the final conversation, the only thing I can see it affecting is something like "You've recieved 100,000 XP."

(And you should wait until double XP, pretty sure that's tomorrow.)

Well, unfortunately, the "misc" in chat window can't turn it off inside the dialogue window :.( That's the problem ...

The reason, why it won't work: "Misc" toggle is not only the information about "Player xyz", but also for a few important information for the story (and this must be shown in Dialogue Window) - Lum told it.
That's the whole problem. The solution:
"Player on/off" needs an own "toggle" ...

Yes, may be the 200.000 XP would be awesome - but XP go away as fast as I've been killed 4 times ... wha can happen very fast, as you know within a few minutes ;)
... the story finale(!) will be always in my mind ...

Oh crap, that's totally bonkers. Has that been put in as an actual bug? Because that's a huge bug.

And double CRAFTING XP doesn't go away when you die :D

As you know - or may be not - I am a master of bug reporter ;)
And sure I made a bug report (not only one time) - unfortunately it was told "by design" :.(

You're right about the crafting xp :) Well, should I do, what this little -chaotic- child told me in the Confluence Chamber? "Have fun - don't care about bugs!"? (well, she said Virtues to be honest...)

Completely agree. The entire XYZ in Online in the NPC dialogue window is completely and utterly immersion breaking.

Can't the online/offline notification be disabled on one of the chat options? I somehow thought we could do that.

It can in the normal chat boxes. However, the OP is saying you can't turn it off from the NPC conversation dialogue pop-up box.

Exactly, as I told above (and Lum confirmed it):
Unfortunately, you can't disable it for the dialogue window :(
I wouldn't find so many words, if it could be done - so easy ;)

Well that's a flat out dumb design. Probably back when they were just fighting us and saying that about everything, I could even take a guess about who told you that. I'm entering a bug, that's super dumb.
