Skinning Disgust?

Here's my random feedback for today..

I have taken note as of late that when I skin a kill my character seems rather.. revolted by the action.. and constantly groans and makes various noises of disgust. Which is kinda find and mildly amusing but after a few hundred boars you'd think someone with a GM in skinning would get used to it after awhile.

Can we tone down it down a bit please? Or even make it skill based so that the higher your skinning skill the less noises you make?

 

I actually like the disgusted sounds.

 

It's mostly the frequency that gets annoying to me. Personally I think it's hilarious IF I had little or no skill.. but with a GM in field dressing it feels out of place and gets old pretty quick.

 

To balance things out a bit, whenever you hit someone with a sword, the game should make you say "ugh, I'm sorry!"

 

I actually find that sound amusing. Though I agree maybe at GM it’s a bit out of place. You are a master at that task now....

 

I agree, it's super dumb. Also when you eat good food and make disgusted sound. I mean, really.

 

I thought this applied to Canadian players.

 

I agree on the frequency of disgust-sounds being too high. Its distracting. Once in a while is immersive, though.

What I dont get is why my GM cook makes these sounds eating his own food. Why does my avatar say "eeeew" when eating foods?

 

The eating disgust sounds really should not be happening eating something that’s like a tier 2 or higher food. Or food made from a GM cook.

Even better, your character starts to like certain foods ( perhaps because they have been eating them so much).

I was buffing up with food the other day, and after my player apparently disliked the food they were eating, I was sitting there thinking “Excuse me? Do you know how much it costs to make that? You just need to shut your trap.....”.

 

i'll go further and say the disgust sounds should only be for the rotting meat you can get from breaking down roast pig deco

I say it every time I hit someone/thing IRL.

 

I’ve always wanted to post about this but I keep forgetting after I logout! If I am a seasoned “hunter”, skinning several game a day, why would I be making disgusted sounds?

I like the idea of making that ‘eeew’ sound go away once you get past a certain field dressing level.
