More RAM and an SSD helps alot with load times.

Hello @Pipino42 ! Welcome to the world of Shroud of the Avatar!

Loading times are the result of 3 forces working together:

    1) Your CPU movea data from your hard drive to your ram. Potential issues: If the CPU is slow, then your loading times become much longer.

    2) Your RAM holds the newly processed data. Potential issue: If your RAM is insufficient to hold the scene and everything in it, the processed data will be held by your hard drive, which ks many times slower than RAM. No amount of money can make a hard drive or SSD anywhere close to being as fast as RAM.

    3) You must download some data about the scene from the server before entering the game. Potential issue: A slow or haulting internet connection can cause the loading time to slow down at the last few percent, especially the "equipping avatars" section. If your loading screen stops and fails here, it's most likely a connection problem.

To review the issues: loading speed is determined by how fast your CPU can pull the data from your HDD/SSD and put it onto your RAM. If yout RAM is insufficient, some of that data will go back onto your HDD which is slooooow.

If your internet connection is very slow or inconsistent, the final part of the loading can alow way down or even fail.

I hope this information can help you identify the weakness in your system. If you like, you might share your system specifications for more specific suggestions. :)
