Yeah I've thought about that as well it would be cool to have an option to choose your theme! Anyways for now if you like it and want to use it you can by installing the Stylebot Chrome extension.

    Hello,

beautiful concept, nicely done. Although me, I prefer dark themes myself, IIRC we had a similar thread in the old forum on the original website (which was dark, that's where the forum got its colorscheme from), where it sounded like people would prefer a light version. Obviously, this is a matter of taste after all, and a nicely done new look like presented is always awesome and inspiring! So I guess being able to pick a dark of light theme would be the way to make everyone happy...
Or a day/night cycle! :) If I remember correctly, Animal Crossing's site did that, cool idea.
Or more contrast as suggested by Ember!

    Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, will keep an eye on this, also on the other concepts that were floating around, here. There are unfortunately so many things to do that website improvements are a pretty long list by now to work through... Fingers crossed!

I voted neither. Making incremental changes to the existing design is likely wasted effort. I really have no preference to the light or dark but the light fits with the current design. The dark is great too but would need other incremental changes to make it work, which some here have suggested as well...which is just creating more work against the existing design that we know will all be thrown away when the website goes under a hopefully massive redesign later. I'd rather have Tassilo and Joseph crank out that new add-on store and digital goods conversion features. :)

Yep, the current site is for updates and campaign, etc. - at some point the game will launch and a different site needed. Towards this goal, there will be plenty of opportunities for bigger changes. It turned out that continuing the kickstarter model with your own campaign has quite a few caveats and is hard to extend. I think I gave some insight into those details in a wall of text in some other post a few months ago.

And that's what I'm working on and getting the most important things ready for next week :)
Thanks for hanging in there with us!

I definitely agree that the new all in one store with a shopping cart as well as the add-on melting system should take priority :p I made this design for fun over the weekend and thought others might like it and also give inspiration and ideas to the already awesome web devs :p
