    Hanny swilled down the last bits of his favorite soup with relish and let his hands drop to the table, making the bowl hit with a loud, hollow "clack". He noticed that some of the soup had splashed onto his hand, and, casting about unsuccessfully for something to wipe with, he chose to dab it off with the stringy clump of hair that still clung to the scalp on the bottom of the bowl...

    (Editorial comment from the wife: *frowns* You're gross...)

    As Asclepius prepared to give his opening remarks to those assembled in PaxLair, he suddenly lost his voice :eek: There was a creaking sound and the stage collapsed...o_O

    Shuffling reluctantly towards the cage, stretching as far as I could, I tossed the raw steak through the bars. She immediately pounced on the treat, tearing into it, and getting connective tissue stuck in her braces.

    "At last, a wizard's hat!", exclaimed Lord Baldrith, as he cautiously approached the purple, pointy hat lying there on a tree stump in the middle of the swamp. As he reached out to snatch it, Lord Baldrith suddenly found himself completely surrounded by lich mages... :eek:

    I think you might be derailing the thread a bit ;)

    Remember, the purpose of this challenge was to have an entire story encapsulated within 2 sentences, not writing an entire story 2 sentences at a time. :)

    Tripping over the half-devoured sheep on the roadway this Owl Hallows Eve, Guard Michael quickly lifted the hood on his lantern and stuttered toward the shadows at the town's entry, "Reveal your..self Out..l..lander." An encircling score of soulless jet black eyes stared back, belonging to a feral pack of the town's previously missing children.
