Testing Notes for Finale (Here There Be Spoilers)

The final scene with the Oracle should be live in the next QA build (Monday morning, unless something prevents it from being published). A couple of testing notes:

- The "combined" task of finding the 8 pages and 3 lenses and bringing them to the Confluence Chamber won't register as complete. This is fixed in the next build.

- There are three seperate possibilities that the final scene with the Oracle can follow. Unfortunately if you finished the quest on QA before the next build up to the point where you have to see the Oracle, you will be locked to one specific one (chaos / no choice made). This has no effect on the player other than what the Oracle says during the final scene; the rewards are the same.

if there are too many people locked into one possibility you could do another data pull from live

 

I guess mine was no choice since I thought asking about the Chaos path might mess up turning in the pages and lenses.

After I got the book it seems there is no way to choose later.

 

I'm guessing the build was postponed as my quest did not update after the confluence chamber.

 

Don't think we did one today; fixed a bunch of bugs today anyway (including many that would block any testing) so Try Again Later says Magic 8 Ball

The child in the confluence chamber promised me all the icecream I could eat, but I was unable to claim said reward...

nope. you will get no ice cream. I hope this does not affect your future choices re: virtues or chaos.

 

I guess mine was bugged since the Oracle said I am the Avatar of Chaos yet my shroud is white.

I guess you have to choose between Order and Chaos with Anais.

Same. I think Lum did say that if we were at the Oracle already that we missed a chance to choose something...

So, it seems no matter our decision or current Virtue, EP1 was no more then an evaluation of us and preparation of what is to come. The new Quest of the Avatar begins in EP2... We have a Shroud that shows our current virtue (regardless of any choice we made).

Does this seem a correct evaluation??

I am not complaining or bashing, its all good I am just checking to be sure I understanded what happened. My Destiny is mine to make if I listen to Arabella, or Foretold and Unchangable if I listen to the Oracle. In the end, the answer is choice. What do I believe.

 

The shroud's reading is much more granular/fine than the final dialog and displays your current virtue - if you are closer to virtuous than grey it will display as white.

There is no choice to make past the ones already taken that affected your virtues through gameplay. Anais is present in the confluence chamber only for atmosphere/flavor.
