    THAT WHICH IS PEERLESS - final (lyrics inspired by Lord British's: Shroud of the Avatar)

    Shine an Ankn. through the night
    Then kneel before the altar and recite the mantra
    Never stray from its light
    Illuminating every naked piece of the dark
    All the storm clouds will clear
    For the magic of your song will make them fade
    Forever
    Soaking wet
    Drenched with tears
    I'll be waiting for you on a moonlit plain...

    When the Heavens eclipse
    And every Titan ever worshiped turns to dust
    We'll endure
    Curse the fiends and their lies
    Though they taunt and tempt us we'll be on our guard for all time
    Never stray from the light
    For the stars are burning brightly in the silky black sky
    Always stay in the light
    Tonight revealing all that which is peerless...

    Never will I deny
    The wonderment deep in your sky-blue eyes
    Not ever
    Those consumed by their pride
    Will break down and cry in witness to a glorious Sage
    And we'll shine!
    Oh we'll shine!
    And all the stars burning so brightly in the clear-cashmere night
    Never stray from the light
    Tonight revealing all that which is peerless...

    This is a song about a moongate revealing the unseen world on the other side. I imagined it sung by a dying bard to an orphan child tending his wounds at the foot of a stone ankn.

    One of many avatars...

    Close to death, he mentions a glorious sage, meaning the true Avatar.

    Revealing that which is peerless is also his reference to what lays on the other side of death, and how important it is at that point to head into the light...

    Or it can meaning anything you want it to.

    THING

    born of sin
    alike no other
    crawls a craven and cursed thing
    that devoured its own mother
    its soul is cast of blackest night
    it flies untethered through the sky
    its screams can chill the mortal blood
    and pain and fear are its first love
    and all the world will pay the cost
    to the thing so craven,
    cold and lost...

    there beats a heart of darkness
    deep beneath its mortal flesh
    its screams evoke such sadness
    its eyes can piece like death
    but nothing can prepare you
    for the coming holocaust
    and all must pay their homage
    to the creature,
    cold and lost.........

    this was from a story I got bored with and never finished called 'The Great Sage'. 'That Which Is Peerless' and 'Shadow Of The Beast' were also originally from it.

    this song is how I envisioned the main villain 'inspired in a strange way by Dark Star as well as Richard and Hickmans Blade Of The Avatar'.

    the antagonist, after birth, slay his own mother and devoured her body. For a while during his teens he and his gang inhabited a crevasse where they lured and forcefully converted visiting pilgrims to cannibalism, and made them participate in and partake of the consummate flesh ritual. He was later excommunicated and expelled by his own tribe who eventually grew to despise his revolting creed, and cast him into the Pit Of Skulls in the Underworld. There stay he, in the pit on the Throne of Carnage, as the ages passed, his rage and insanity grew to proportions that sickened even the evil denizens with whom he shared his dark fate. To rid themselves of the 'dark fiend' they cast terrible spells on him, transforming him into a terrible abomination that sprouted wings, allowing him to fly free. Once outside, he hid in a mountain retreat, plotting his terrible Dawn of Vengeance upon his former clan and... on New Britannia...

    learning his clan died out long ago, he dedicated his complete focus to New Britannia.

    his depraved weapon was a magical scrying-mirror he used to converse with demons from other dimensions. Eventually, they form a dark pact, and agree to bring their armies through the mirror to help him overthrow Britan. (which I deliberately called Briton with an 'o' because it sounded cool).

    one other phase i'll mention, was to included a later scene I wanted to write was where the 'dark fiend' watched from the side of the road a peasant woman, every day for a year. Over the course of the year he would watch the wealthy aristocrats spit, beat and curse her as she traipsed through the mud, alone, 20 miles into and returning from backbreaking work in the fields. Through raging storms, and winds, shivering in rags, trod she. He spoke to her once, and asked her what she would want, if she could have anything she desired, and she said “a child”. His strange connection to her was he was a motherless son,and she a mother without a son. He stayed with her until one day he found her battered body a ways from the roadside. The aristocrats had killed her. Their evil plot invoked upon them a terrible ending... for in her he saw a mother, and she in him- a son.

    again, he transgressed from his human form into a walking nightmare.

    later on, 'dark fiend' engaged into battle with 'the Great Sage' who had acquired Ethrems wand of Infinite Destruction, and, knowing 'dark fiend' was immortal, used the wand to teleport 'dark fiend' into outer space where he froze and his corpse encircled the earth in orbit, forever.

    the songs i wrote in modern style, to save time, intending to later 'old British' them up a bit. Don't ask me why there are songs in my story... it just seemed like the thing to do lol

    and on and on it would have gone... but luckily, it didn't :p

    It would have been the craziest fan fiction ever written.

    BEYOND THE PALE - remade

    There's a solemn wind,
    whistling through the reeds,
    along the river.
    There's a mighty Northern Oak,
    amidst the clean,
    whiteout of Winter.
    And there's a clearing,
    through the hollow,
    where the woods recede to dale.
    I will lead you-
    if you'll follow;
    through the night;
    beyond the pale...

    Through a black,
    and misted forest;
    where the nightshade still grows wild.
    Things at first,
    appear quite modest;
    like a sleeping little child.
    There our bonds,
    will be unbound.
    The ropes and chains,
    shall be unwound.
    But no more,
    will our dreams be drowned.
    When we are paradise bound....

    Curse the darkness,
    till the morning arrives;
    Resplendent and burning,
    with immaculate light.
    Its so bright.
    Forever's waiting,
    in the consummate night.
    Your restless and young.
    What a beautiful sight.
    Resplendent and burning,
    in immaculate light...

    Oh – we'll waken,
    in a bright-clear morning.
    Filled with longing.
    Bodies throbbing.
    Come and watch.
    Daylight is dawning.
    Golden clouds so bright,
    are forming.
    And the tears,
    will dry in dawns pure light.
    Then we'll be --
    Be free of darkest night.
    Yes, there lies a cascade,
    in the hills;
    where the woods regress to dale.
    I will take you,
    there tomorrow;
    home at last;
    beyond the pale.........
