*You receive an ancient looking book from a green mysterious stranger* Spoiler: Translation The Book of Damnation Translated from the Tome of Evil by Vallo Frostbane The Commandments of Kek Praise Kek Be Secretive Stay Hidden Condemn all Virtues Resist the Oracle Collect their Souls Build a Shrine Chapter I Praise Kek Our Lord is waiting in the primordial darkness, to await his summoning into the worlds he sent us to. Every day we shall praise him and collect souls as a sacrifice to him. If one praises him and accepts his ways, once one’s world is conquered, one will follow him back into the primordial darkness and be rewarded greatly. From the translation of the Tome of Evil we learned that a “chosen one” will one day complete the cataclysm to finish the destruction of worlds and the Summoning of Kek known as the Damnation. Chapter II Be Secretive The Tome of Evil describes the way of the Disciple of Damnation to be a way of a silent monk. One should neither give in to one’s worldly demands, nor feel emotions. One should never talk to the prey when stealing their souls. Except if it is to praise Kek. Constant training and the willpower to achieve greatness are of utmost importance. Chapter III Stay Hidden The Disciple tries not to be seen. One shall collect souls from out of the dark, and use the shadows as one’s veil. Chapter IV Condemn all virtues The Virtues were designed to confuse the weak minded. One must defy them at all cost. Love and Truth obviously serve no purpose, and one should not let Courage corrupt one’s heart. The way to praise Kek, is to be victorious. To be victorious, is paramount and all means are justified. Chapter V Resist the Oracle The abomination the oracle is, was designed to limit one’s true potential. One should resent it and never talk to it. Destroying all of its minions, is the way to praise Kek. Chapter VI Collect Their Souls Seek out non-believers and steal their skull. A part of their soul will still be in that skull. Bring it to a Shrine of Kek, donate it, praise Kek and go out to collect more. Every Soul one steals will be one’s slave once the primordial darkness returns. Chapter VII Build a Shrine Every disciple must try to build a Shrine of Kek. One should craft a trunk and put a copy of this book on it. Then place a skull with a candle on it. The trunk can be decorated with other relics, but only this book translated from the Tome of Evil is allowed on the shrine. The Shrine shall be placed in the open, for all eyes to see.
Just for everyone to be clear, this is not Portalarium-authored content... I appreciate the efforts at worldbuilding but, well, the Oracle has her own way.
QFT val·i·da·tion /ˌvaləˈdāSH(ə)n/ noun noun: validation; plural noun: validations when Lum jumps on your thread to tell everyone your sandbox fan fiction isn't official. "that's some sweet validation" ---------------------------- +1 to the shrine idea, it'd be cool to see all the skulls and to mourn for all the lost souls. I think I have some dead trees I could donate if you want.
I'm obviously missing something here.........why would anyone in their wildest dreams think that anything created by the Disciples of Damnation would be official content in the game? This started out as a thread containing part of the lore of my guild. It now appears to have been hijacked by non-believers...... We look forward to collecting your souls in-game and scattering your mortal remains around the shrines of Novia.
Unfortunately all my 5+ year pvp buddies left SotA already or I'd love to spar with you guys as the PK Hunters that OoV was designed to be... I appreciate that you put the amount of time and effort into upsetting people that you do. It really works well with your persona. As someone who sits on the other side of the isle and completely dislikes everything you do... I still have a fond appreciation for HOW you go about doing it. I had a lot of people complain about things DoD and some people have done against me personally. I've been flamed on these forums by people... I've been griefed. I've never once had Envy or someone from DoD grief me. I've been PK'd by them several times... I've been called names... I've had jokes played on me. All of this, in my genuine opinion as a gamer and member of the community, is within the rules and spirit of this game. Just wanted to say publicly that I don't have any issues that I know of (including the fact you tried to ninja a killer guild member of mine!!! AND GOT ANOTHER ONE! GRRR!!!! All is good, they end up where they want just miss some people when they leave...) with what Envy has done from his Persona / Guild.
That is to bad. One of your guildies was just telling one of ours that when guild alliances go in, your guild was going to war with us (and your tons of tons of friends). We were actually looking forward to it as well as feel honored that you think of us so much that you want to war with us. But your statements here seem to counter that idea. I told the fellas that our DOD friends in this thread could make great friends in that cause. But, if you have no PvP'ers left, its odd that the person would make such bold statements.
