The Making of Middle Downs

I actually live within an area of downland in the UK and our village has barrows/burial mounds in the hills all around us and standing stones arent so far away either. Will be good to experience SOTA's version !

 

I'm loving the burial mounds; the cave paintings there are simply awesome! This might just become my go-to hunting spot, just for the scenery!

Now I feel the need for a Fedora Hat and Lion Tamer's Whip. =)

hey, new magnolia! i approve.

 

I love the scene with it's mobs but for tier 1 it has really big bad guys >60 up to 160hp

I am to dumb to get the puzzles in here spend more than 4 hours searching for the right thing to do but to no avail ;(

on top are five "sun"stones in different locations around the center (in distance and positioning)
inside are only 4 "sun" stones with buttons to press

but i can't find the right combination

any hints appreciated

I think it works like a sundial, the shadows should move from each stone during the day to show the order.

Make sure to set the graphics so the shadows will show on the stones - Auto should work.

@discipleofweb ok waited a whole day on top of each mound and the shadow drops only onto some of the stones there from 2 stones to 4 stones including the one in the morning, that has no button inside to match it

no reaction whatsoever if i only press the buttons inside from morning to dusk and leave the other(s) untouched

so still no luck

 

You could bug report it if it does not seem to be working and see if you get a response.

There could also be a timing thing going on, like the buttons only work during the day.

i spend today also 4h without solving.....did write all on a paper..... think i got all right but how to solve 2 great stones in front of middle mounts.....you can klick on it its fire/earth and water/follow through sign on it....but dont know what that will meaning cast some spells on it but nothing

 

it would help if the correct pressed buttons stay all inside and don't reset the other pressed one....

 

I cannot express how much I love this scene! I want to uproot my house and move here, it's absolutely beautiful!

 

Also, as for the puzzle...lol...it is not intuitive by any stretch of the imagination. I am wondering if the massive signal fire top of the watchtower has any significance, or if it's just a red herring...

 

Yeah still guessing. Try asking Alley Oop or Rinaldi if they have solved them yet.

 

nope. haven't messed with it for several days. i have several theories but they all would take several hours to test.

I had shadow rendering turned off because of performance issues. Turned it on just so that I could solve this.

 

WOW so we have to solve all four mounds to get the sun one to open, and what about the other rooms in each mound (in 2 outers are also rooms to see behind walls)? questions over questions
