Every time I go to this zone I find a new area... or several new areas. Such a deceptively large map with lots of cool stuff to discover, really been enjoying it!
i was testing the pet health/buff indicator additions to my buff monitor lua mod and needed a more challenging scene to pound my pet a bit. had a great time exploring and testing in the run. my favorite spot so far is the mossy church area. sat in the throne chair while my pet did its work on the undead the field of beautiful flowers was pretty cool as well. amazing so far! looking forward to more officially exploring what this scene has to offer.
@Vas Corp Por and @Sannio, Jotungrun and Outlaws run are very well done. 2 large zones that deliver a contrasting experience: the desolation of Jutungrund juxtaposed with the dense terrain and botanical features of Outlaws run. The visual effects are very nice: I like the snow blowing over the ice ridges and the realistic whirling of the ice tornado. The number of things to discover in Outlaws run is also a great feature. The outlaw's lair inside the zone did not seem to be "active", as if the story line or quest for that region was not implemented yet. I think i discovered all the points of interest, the quests, the battles, etc. but I still have the feeling that there is something more to the zone yet to be discovered....makes me want to go back for more!
This scene is absolutely amazing, really really good! @Sannio you and @Vas Corp Por crushed it with this one! Squirrel Hill? F*cking hilarious! I haven't been this stoked over an adventure scene since Highvale Outskirts. A+ team!
that it does. i was expecting a lot more tree and ore mining nodes. it has a nice little granite node area.
Spoiler: Wave battle The clearings with the red flowers. There's three that I've found. But apparently only one is active at a time. I'm not sure if it's random each battle or each scene load. I only ever got the wave battle at one location when I was there. Also, the druid doesn't spawn every time. I haven't seen him yet, though I only did the battle four times.
I have mixed feelings. The difficulty is about right. But the low visibility is driving me nuts. I also think there's too many mobs spread out too evenly. You can't really ever stop to look around, get your bearings, or enjoy the exploration without something coming after you. Also why I don't think it'll be a great gathering scene. Nodes give good xp, but you'll be spending all your time fighting. Also also, I wish the outlaws weren't all named "Outlaw." With the low visibility, it's hard to see what you're targeting, and tabbing through them doesn't let you know if you're targeting the mages or archers or whatever. Lotsa Obsidian critters, though. Finally a decent place to farm the obsidian boars, if you wanted to use the boar foods.
This is something that I have always disliked about SotA. Other games take great care to ensure that you can always see your character.
