1. All post bodies concerning Shroud of the Avatar player to player transactions or services are limited to this section of the forums. Unwanted solicitation in other sections of the forums or via chat or private message is prohibited, and could result in account restriction or ban. Posting more than once per week within your own thread, "bumping" it to keep it on top, bumping within a week of the first post, and daily replacing a post with a new one is also considered spam and is therefore, prohibited. Bumping is allowed once per week, if the new post contains information that is meaningful to the original thread (i.e. price updates).

    Activities that involve real money exchanges between players are not allowed. Account transfers are not supported. Items purchased in the SotA Store, such as Pledge and Bundle Rewards, Add-Ons, Stretch-Goal items, and Player Owned Towns, as well as services that can be immediately fulfilled in-game (such as renting existing in-game property or items) are the only permitted exchanges in the Player Marketplace.

    We will not restrict exchange of goods but we will not officially endorse these exchanges due to liability issues and staffing bandwidth. No in-game or chat based real money exchanges are allowed. Exchanges are at the players own risk and governed by the Terms of Service of whatever third party platform. Catnip Games reserves the right to restrict any activities if they cause widespread issues for our community or if these activities involve exploits of any kind.

This needs to be stickied - Rent is at your own risk - know your landlord.

    I am sorry but this has to be said and put up front and on the top.

    Renting space in this game provides zero security to the renter.

    I am not saying you will get robbed I am just saying it can easily be done and there is nothing you can do to prevent it.

    When you rent any space from a player be it a ; vendor, room, floor, house, chest - anything you are placing, every item you place there, is in the direct control of the landlord.

    So be cautious, learn who they are, get references . . . .

    The game provides no security the Lot Owner has complete control over every item placed and there is nothing you can do about it.

    Again I am not accusing anyone of any wrong doings I am just putting the common sense warning out there.

    The first person who come onto any of these forums complaining about how they lost everything, it is their own fault.

    Port. is very clear about this in their instructions but if a post is not hung at the top of these forums then it will get glazed over, and I am sure it.

    I totally agree with Weins201. This is a huge issue. I am afraid we will soon see scams where people offer some lot for very cheap or even free, add you to the land controls and wait until you place all your decorations. Then suddenly you log in and all your stuff, the house and the landlord disappeared.

    There needs to be some features that protect ownership of items, even if placed in someone else's house or vendor. A land lord should only be able to move items (within the lot) or return them to the owner. But never should a land owner be able to actually take stuff away, unless it has been dropped into a chest/container owned by the owner.
