    well if your spell requires the special apple, you would have to go to another town to buy it for cheaper, or from a player, or suck it up and pay the inflated cost in your own town

    There should be a plant you can grow that has gold in it for seeds. You harvest them to get gold peices.

    The seeds only grow a beanstalk, you need the goose to get the gold.
