    on late night seems morning...
and NIGHT negative effects on combat seems a little strange with sun light...

reduce the LATE NIGHT time.. and increase DAWN time
maybe just a my idea... but on a forest... (that if a very dark place) to much light

this is an image of the late night...

Are you using any gear with light enchantments? Those really light things up. Same for the Darklamps (untested this release)

Players in the Moon tree would be unhappy about that. They get strength at night.

I think the skybox is off. The sun is already halfway to noon, and it's only dawn.

Late Night should really be renamed to pre-dawn or something. For me late night is the time just before midnight

The problem is that the world was dark too much, so the devs shortened the amount of time that it was dark.

I suggested a while back that they adjust the duration of the time-of-day labels to better match what we see visually but, oddly, I was panned for it by forum members.

oh dear god, if the devs are actually considering reverting night time to where it was impossible to see. PLEASE, make it an adjustable slider rather than a global setting for everyone.

I think they're just saying that what the game calls late night is really early morning.

I think you mean Dexterity. Not Strength.

I agree that the night is too bright though. Particularly in towns. In fact, I can hardly even tell it's nigh time while in some towns. Such as Ardoris...

Too bright makes the game playable.

Too dark means waiting for daylight.

Somewhat ironically, the game is unplayable during real life day time and in game night time. Because there's so little contrast that the glare overwhelms everything.

I get having night time in single player Ultima. You were suppose to camp / find some safe haven to sleep. But in makes no sense in an online game where you essensually can only play every other hour.

it's nice to wait for daylight... i went to sell things.... maybe just killing wolves.... it's a second-life on SOTA...
probably only LABELS are uncorrectly placed in time....

I seriously have no idea what time of day it is by looking at the sun (or how bright it is) I shouldn't have to look at the text under compass to know that it's midnight...

Noticed a few days ago when it turned to morning the sun was at its peak already so I would guess the system is borken

Its very difficult to see at night, I'm guessing that's why it was made brighter.
If you're in a mine for example and your light spell goes off, it is BLACK.
    I think this is realistic.
I wouldn't mind it being actually dark at night, but I think you'd need to scale up the radius of the light spell to make adventuring at night reasonable or you'd be bumping into things and falling off cliffs.

This. The sky lighting seems to be a few hours off from what the time is under the compass. Perhaps it could be "late night" at the moment that time block began, but most of the time it looks a lot like "early morning" to me. And since we don't get any granularity more than a few hours, it's hard to even tell how much it is off by.

One of the two (sun position or time name) is wrong and needs to be fixed.

How about we fix the skybox first?
