    @Chris, that sounds awesome! I like the idea of this kind of mechanic that forces the player to think about terrain etc.

    I'd also like to see this kind of element come into effect PvP and other PvE - for instance, shooting arrows from above / higher terrain should be more effective than shooting from below.

    Haha, exactly what I suggested in the other Troll thread :). (another idea is a fast AoE hit to the back, if players gather behind him)

    You want to raise threefold the challenge of trolls (or any mob in general)?

    Make them "solid" entities - i.e. players can't cross their models anymore. Like PVP flagged players among themselves.

    Guaranteed results. Ankh resurrection stations working overtime.

    Ok went out and found this guy last night with 2 friends. Not decking out specifically for this fight. Has Two Archers / Tamers (as we are screwing around testing them) and a Pole Mage.

    As a result we could not maintain anough dmg to hurt this beast.

    AWSOME - - now all he needs a a story / quest type action to get to him, AND some nice loot or lotable areas and you have a GREAT mini quest idea.

    Pleas keep it up and work it the finer points.

    Lastly please work so either Soloing is even harder, and the exp for solo is OK but the loot needs to stay small for SOLO so as to not make this just something people grind out.

    Again AWSOME mini quest and rewards and GREAT mission.

    I hope the Dragon (if / when ) they appear are even harder and a much more complex lead in :)

    Also agree about the dragon having a complex lead in. Perhaps he is random over the lands and there is weather difference and music change when they are around but not seen at first. Perhaps they fly out of range and back in again streaming fire around the area that burns and singes the skin, hair and eyebrows of any misfortunate enough to get caught in it. It would not be fair to have them just sit there and be attacked. They are a dragon after all.:)

    I actually beat him today for the first time solo. Melee with 2 hd sword. It took a long time but was sad he only rewarded me with 15g lol. Oh well. Was worth it to say I can! 4k xp was nice though. ( Bridge Troll )

    Nice, now try the one in ravensmoore (he is a boss, not a normal troll)which also will only give you 15-20 gold but 50k exp if you still have your bonus.

    Ok, so I had to see Themo's latest adventure (which should probably be some sort of official series of adventures)...
    Anyway, once I saw that it took 2 hours and gave 50k XP's - I decided I didn't want the aggravation of respecin' just to take on that big arse troll (I've already had a couple of my own adventures with that troll, the troll got all the XP's in mine... :p )

    Save yourself some aggravation and just go kill 25 Elder Wolves for the 50k XP's (assuming you haven't used up your double allotment)...
