Trouble with taming....

    I started playing R4 today and when I try to use the taming skill on one of the wolves in the forest, I get a message saying "You lack the required skill". But i thought skill checks were not in game yet? I also fail to tame rabbits, goats and sheep. Is anyone else having this issue?

    You might have to convince the animals your are not going to hurt it. Say "I've always wanted a pet like you.....I promise to take good care of you.....it would be mutually beneficial if we were to join forces."

    I found the best approach to taming in R4 was to use a sword.

    Presto. Tame animal...

    Yeah, but the only command it will obey is Play Dead.
