What platforms will Shroud be available on?

The Kickstarter goal was $1,000,000. Why are you still asking for money?

I worry the UI will draw my attention away from combat, what is the plan for that?

I also have updated versions of the FAQ on Steam and the SotA Wiki for your convenience. Changing all the formatting for both of those was a pain.

 

Main server on US? EU servers be or not?

 

There is currently only one server in the US. When they get closer to launch, they'll determine if they need to open up servers in other countries for improved latency.

 

What Smack said, but as far as I know, this game is still also aiming at trying to do more client-side than most games, which should reduce regional lag. I should clarify with Chris if that is still the case.

But one server with everyone on it and intelligent instancing is core to the design of this game.

 

why Lunar Magic didnt have icons and didnt available in desk?

 

Lunar Magic (Moon Magic) has not yet been implemented. This will get into the game in an upcoming release.

 

Not every skill is fully implemented currently.

 

Question. Being an original kickstarter, sadly RL has taken me away so I havent been up to date with everything, but was curious on this open alpha testing, are our kickstarter items supposed to be implemented, or only when the game is post beta?

 

Pledge rewards were slated for R12 but have been pushed out, likely to come in R13 in a month.

check out some of the chaos spells too. Those will be interesting to see implemented. That might be a useful skill set too, and then again it might kill the user... who knows.

 

I have a question about the pledge levels in connection with the novel Blade of the Avatar. The FAQ says:

If you are a Founder with an Adventurer pledge or higher, or you purchased the digital novel through the Add On Store, you can access it on your Account Page.

I have a Royal Artisan pledge, but see nothing regarding the prequel novel on my account page. My pledge is dated August 2013 - was I too late to be considered a "Founder"?

 

I found this information about the pledge levels in the Backers part of the FAQ:

Apparently "Founder" is an ambiguous term, since it can refer to "Royal Founders" or simply the pledge tier "Founder". I assume that since I missed the cut-off date for the Royal Founder, I miss out on the novel. I think the FAQ should be updated to be more clear on this point.

 

There are very few differentiations between Royal Founders and Founders. The Novel is not one of them. If you are a Founder Royal Artisan, you will see a white (Royal Founder) or yellow (Founder) "F" next to your pledge on your account page. If that is the case, you just need to scroll all the way down to the bottom of your account page and you will see the Novel download link.

 

Yep, the only real difference between Founder and Royal Founder is color scheme on some of the Founder items. However, the cutoff for Founder status was May 20th, 2013 and you pledged in August 2013, so you missed Founder status and the novel is one of the Founder specific rewards. You can still buy the novel as an add-on in the add-on store.

Like many others, I discovered too late that SOT was being developed, otherwise I would have made my pledge much earlier. I guess that's the way the corpse wax crumbles....
