Volcano

One thing I'm kind of disappointed about currently, but excited to see in the future, is the volcano near Owl's Head. On the overland map, there is a larger mountain that I assume is the volcano, but there is no way to get to it. It really needs to be better designated on the map.

I really want to see a way to get up on the slopes of the mountain. Looking down into the cone, even from a guarded ledge, would be awe inspiring.

Until then, I'll just sit here dreaming...

 

Someone may correct me if I'm wrong I think that even when you were able to jump the invisible wall in R1/R2 the volcano mesh is actually offset from the ground mesh. You could walk up the hills to the windmills but when you tried to climb the volcano you just walked right through the surface. It was pretty close to the edge of the map where you could fall off. I hope the volcano might be visitable later but I think it will exist in a separate hex.

 

Everytime that I tried to climb the volcane I get bugged, I fell in the edge of the map and I had to use /stuck. So I think you are right.

Many cities over the ages have been built in stupid places...here in canada I know of crows nest pass has a town burried under a ton of rock from back in the early 1900's because they didn't listen to the indians telling them it was dangerous to build there.

 

it's not that difficult to get outside the barriers but the volcano is not part of the terrain. It's just a mock up of a volcano which you can walk through

 

Here's another great idea for an animation feature on the OV/M!!!
