Weapon damage

    I have a two-handed ax that is rated 8-24 damage but it never hits for more than 6 is this right?

    Welcome, @Chastain. 8-24 is the range of damage it does with no modifier, but this is adjusted by your Bludgeon skill, your Strength, and any gear modifiers you have on. Unfortunately, this doesn't always display in an easy to find way.

    Also, you are posting to the general discussion of a fairly large forum. You might have better results if you use Discord (here on the Chat page). There are a group of friendly players called Hospitallers who are around specifically to assist you in learning to play.
