What is it with the new Loot-Sword?

If i approach something i can loot i get to see
- a white sword with green borders

- and one step more and i see the old circular green curser


Is this a bug?

EDIT: so far only works on Satyrs - not on ghosts or when the blue circular cursor comes up...

 

Confirmed with trolls and cabalist too.

 

I only see a wee arrow, mouse pointer that sometimes is all blue and sometimes green glowy, it used to be green glowy, only when I could loot something, now it can loot in either color.

 

the blue one states that the XP wasn't fully applied yet and it could be reanimated by other npc's , so looting it gives you the full XP-reward

 

Really? That's interesting! I've never seen an NPC reanimate a downed mob before. I look forward to seeing that in action.

Skeleton mages used to reanimate their buddies all the time. I haven't seen them do this in a long time though, maybe it's broken.

 

I saw this cursor briefly while adventuring in Elysium Mines; I don't see it at all in the zone where I normally am farming. I think the idea of making more specific cursors is great though, because it helps make the UI more self-explanatory to new users, although a sword would suggest to me attack rather than loot.
