What the hell is with the hallucinogenic gas stun lock.

This **** is not funny, whoever thought of this should be fired immediately.

Stun lock is never acceptable!

I love dieing 3 times without being able to respond to NPC combat.

Seriously WTF guys!

I am literally thinking about refunding my purchase because of this.

I will not play any game with stun locking period!

If you have to cheat to beat players that is just pathetic. I can take on the zone and the mobs but when your mechanics cheat that is just terribad.

 

and what is this stun locking you are talking about? I've played this game since 2013 and I don't know what you are talking about. I really don't think you can get a refund though either. I hope you will learn some more before you think of leaving. Explain better please.

 

Trying to get to the tower of the shattered eye. Journal says I should be able to complete, I was able to kill the mobs on the road to it but after 5 tries I gaze up. Kept getting hit with hallucenigenic gas which was unavaidable. (I presume is was the blue gas which I DID NOT STEP IN TO and it was hitting me anyway). So I got killed 5 times by skele, NOT FUNNY AND THIS PLAYER IS ANGRY!

 

Well you aren't stun locked, you are confused; well in a confused state. It happens a lot. Your key movements are scrambled, so that forward is no longer forward but a different direction and forward is one of the other three directions. Hitting left, right, and backward will show you which key moves you forward again. The fact that there is a blue gas showing up might be a hint that walking into or even near it isn't a smart thing to do. Best bet may have been to go around it.

 

Greetings all, Like most things in this game there is a lot of puzzles. If you try a few times and keeping killed try another approach or ask the community for help. As @jiirc said

I would suggest learning Mindfulness Meditation. It helps.

 

Just avoid the field of clearly identified mushrooms, and go around them.

 

I can make it through there without getting confused. If you do, use Purify or smelling salts. If the skeleton fighters stun you then repeatedly hit the spacebar (jump) to break it or, again, use Purify or or smelling salts.

 

this is not the least frustrating thing in this game. so, if this does make you super angry, it may be best to move on to something else.

however, if you can turn whatever the issue is (gas, seemingly overpowered mobs, a puzzle, etc) into a challenge for you to figured out and over come, then stick it out. this game can be at least as rewarding as it is frustrating.

there's a great community here as well. join a good guild or if you're more solo, reach out in game/forums/discord for some hints. we've all been there and i'm sure more than a few of us, like me, have new keyboards to prove it.

You can walk around it. And it doesnt stun, just confuses you

 

not to mention further breakout mechanics from things like this in the works....
