Or, more specifically, Wythmail, my island-based PoT.

After way too many IRL delays that kept me from playing (and, of course, right on the cusp of R22 drop), I was finally able to make it to my island PoT. I am very impressed by this little gem, and enjoyed strolling about the place.

However, one thing that I am an utter novice on is, well, placing the stuff I have for my PoT (deposited in my bank, but now with me) on the (e-)real property—plotting out row house plots, NPC building placement, etc.

Anyone here with a PoT know what to do with establishing the PoT proper?

UPDATE: FYI, here's the little gem on the map (in violet)

Have you considered appointing a semi-professional steward? Sascha Biermanns is quite good.

Go see what he has done to Vanguard

Very helpful. Only thing I'm unclear on is pivoting/orienting the plot to face a certain direction.

Got it. I'd jump back in & set things up, though I just realized that R22 is nigh upon us, and it would be meaningless, perhaps?

Is there going to be a character wipe with this release?

don't think so. And I would guess pot layout isn't effected by wipe. Icoukd be wrong.

To add to the above. You rotate with
    Q and E but...
If you do CTRL QE then each tap is 45' spin.
If you do SHIFT QE then the spin is much slower.

Also in R21 you were given some deco limits outside of lot borders.
So you can place street lamps along roads and Pavers and such things between lots.

Also the NPC buildings do not yet have merchants and they were delayed to R23 so place statues and such instead.

in reply to "is there a wipe this release"
    and

Im confused now, 2 ppl here saying there is no wipe this release, yet i just read Darkstarr's post and he is still saying there is a full wipe (i was assuming the "full" means more than just characters, and that towns etc would also be wiped, otherwise what does "full" mean?)
I would define "full wipe" as everything gets wiped

Please excuse the derailing of the thread, but are we getting a wipe or not? And if we are then why are ppl telling ppl that we're not, some sort of oh-so-hilarious form of trolling? make someone spend days arranging their town only to see it wiped in 4-5 days?

May i just ask (since ive already derailed) how do we define "Full", is everything wiped or just char database?

no worries, there's a lot of info going out now. Wipes are characters and housing.

I'm back online, and have noticed that my town name now is braced with ?? ?Wythmail? The sudden ?? bracing has me, admittedly, a tad bit concerned.

Just in case, for any mods/SotA team, I'm still here, & still keen on my PoT. Just been away for a little while.

    FYI:

Wythmail, for the moment, has been designed. I've laid out the plots available (it's a holdfast, so it's rather meager compared to other PoTs). Not much going on there, but feel free to drop by & visit to take a look. (Also, feel free to provide any commentary/feedback regarding your visit.)

Also, for a side note: how do I decorate the place with objects (barrels, furniture, etc.)? Do I just buy/craft the stuff & drop it off around the place? Do I get stuff from the same vendors I'd use to decorate my house?

And, what about reclaiming a deed from a town? I recently got a row house in Ardoris, but I'm considering giving up the lot & establishing my house in Wythmail. Is there a way to get back my deed other than through inactivity?

And how does one place a basement on your property?

    Thanks for the info.

If you have a dynamic PoT, then you can just place the objects anywhere on the ground like you can on a house lot. Yes, you would get stuff from the same vendors you would use to decorate your house.

Redeeding your row lot deed - find a new place, double click on the lot stone, and you should be able to claim that spot with one of your current deeds.

Basements - Get the Basement hatch from your bank, and place it. It will allow you to select your basement like you select your house.
