The minimum specifications have been nerfed!1
Different way to "optimize" the game.
Not sure what the fuss is about.. Minspec is average gaming rig spec for a system 4-6 years old.
Based on today's hardware it runs fine on a WIN10 i5 6/7th gen system with 8GB RAM and a 1050 gfx card which really is a lower tier gaming rig
30-40 fps with a GTX 1080 at 1080p is considered "fine"? :/
Im running pretty good on a 980 on max graphics. I think its 980. Lemme check a bug post to check
I run max with that and its not bad.
Do have memory issues over time tho
Not checking my fps too often, thus do not have good numbers on that.
Setting on Fastest, thus I am sure it varies.
Acceptable = no lag, no stutter, no long scene changes, no waiting for deco to load so that I can enter a building.
I get 40-60 fps with an intel 8700k and nvidia 1070.
It is about time really. People have been complaining for years about the performance. There is only so much you can do with optimizations. Don't get me wrong, most of us totally and unequivocally want this game accessible to more players, and since this game has an older demographic (many in retirement or close to it), older or more economical computer support is highly desired.
Alas, I expect in 5-10 years, even that crappiest of new computers will smoke the current generation of monster systems. So perhaps, this game will have a second life then, pardon the pun.
