Storm's Reach, baby!
Rifts End. our guild (Moongate Travelers) POT
Resolute. I like that the streets have some order to them and it doesn't look like I live out in the woods. That was my first choice town. I actually decide on Resolute before they had it in game or even designed because it is in the center of the map.
I settled in Dead Horse, among the spirits of my departed friends.
Graff island. I found a town spot on that (elad?) template that I really liked and that was the last one I knew of at the time. Turns out there is/was at least one more but...still.
I didn't really want neighbors anyway, my house is more a retreat than a place to be every day so the remoteness of both the town and my lot are perfect. Hopefully when they unclone that map they don't ruin my spot.
Now to just figure out where the good merchants are other than owls head.
My home is a town lot in Central Brittney. But my castle will become an incredible arena for the great town of Barran Reach.
I chose to settle in Greenfall, a nice little PRT right at the Hidden Vale crossroads.
Very few settlers, so I had prime pickings for a nice spot overlooking the river & still close to all the amenities.
Estgard, future viking style city of Norgard.
I've picked my location, and am now sweating between now and Tuesday, in case someone else picks it first.
I wanted a city small enough that my town lot could be near an exit and the bank, with a preference for the west coast. Mud and Westend fit the bill and I ended up in the latter. I can't wait to see what will happen to its look when it gets uncloned.
Best of luck!!
I was going to temporarily live in Spite until Lux Sanctuary was ready, but then I found out that Lux Sanctuary is moving. So I've set up temporary digs in Etan Glen. It is the closest community to the area that Lux Sanctuary will be moved to.
Etan Glen is boring. It is the plains template, but hey because of that there was oodles of lots I could choose from! And Uncle Puddlejumper (my vendor) is happy because the village pub is right next to the stream for fishing.
Rift's End with our amazing guild. I'm on the beach in my comfy cabana. My view is of the ocean and a Duke's island castle just across the bay. Beautiful location and an amazing home-away-from Earth.
Brittany Fields, I scrambled in the last hour to figure out how to get to the Brittany area from the southeast and got lucky finding a space. I have no idea where it is in the town because I haven't explored enough I figure it'll be easy access to a few areas and Hidden Vale, so I feel pretty good about it. (My one pick in Soltown was gone long ago)
On your house interface, you can set your recall to it, also if you talk to a Towncrier, you can change the set point to them, but only one set point at a time...
WoW, I settled where ever I could, my first 8 spots were taken within seconds of my groups opening time... I thought I had a good chance at getting in, but I was sooo wrong... I was at the house sign at 4am, clicking the claim over, and over, at the start time, when another name showed up on it... I was rather peeved to say the least, all the open village spots were rather close together too, all were taken...
Yew. Because UO nostalgia.
Once my POT (Terrig Wis) is built I will live there.
Brittany Alleys for my vendor
have a spot reserved in Neath for a beautiful view
Port Titan, it has a bit of everything there and is one of the nicest looking places I've seen.
Celestis. I really like the Island map, where you enter the map right in front of the "downtown" area. It has a crafting area, and my house is just past the Row houses on the way to the big castle in the center of the map.
I got my 3rd choice lot this morning, and bought the Village castle, the green leafy fence, and the 6 pack of oak trees. It looks great! I moved all my crafting inventory over from Soltown and have spent the afternoon finally sitting down and working on my milling and carpentry skills. So much fun!
