Was it really necessary to pump up the contrast?
It doesn't make it a nice experience.
I am checking now, but I can not reproduce it. Could you post a screenshot?
I do notice the shadows look better in this build, maybe they are using a different shadowing system?
Every release the contrast dramatically changes. I have to change my contrast setting one way or the other to make up for it.
As qa doesn’t take your live settings it’s hard to be sure they are exactly the same
Here's a comparison with live. Pay particular attention to my avatar and the merchants. Note how on live there is detail in the shadows and on QA they go completely black. Settings are exactly the same.
Yep that I can reproduce, I like it being a bit darker. as you will create more depth. But yes I agree, they could make it a bit less black.
What a difference. Feeyo is right, a bit less black and it would be perfect
or rather than continually messing with the contrast on their end, they could let us mess with it on our end...
Yes indeed: https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/forum/index.php?threads/more-options.142484/
I think I know what it is. Reflections (i.e. Reflections Quality in the options) were either toned way down or they're just not working.
