Windows

In talking to a friend I had the idea that there could be windows created that when place on a wall would replace a section of a wall and be able to see out. Some ideas would be bars like the bank or jail doors have, arched windows that could be placed on a wall with no windows, or maybe a large window like a picture window. Not sure of the tech required but it would be nice to have more light in dark rooms and views of the outdoors.

 

Windows --> Openings. Could be doors / secret doors, too.

 

Yea I'm just not sure how easy it is to do that because they'd have to be replacing a section of the mesh...

But otherwise it would definitely be cool, including for the purposes @ConjurerDragon said because then you could create additional exits on your property, including for instance, a back exit on a row home, or an exit into an adjacent attached greenhouse area, and things like that.

 

So far I am only talking about non opening windows. Doors that open/close and allow transit through would be more involved that just see thru. I like the idea of doors just don't want to complicate it to the point it is not considered.

 

If they add invisible walls that appear as glass, it may be possible eventually to add other components like roofs so players could construct custom houses. Doors would possibly be an issue although we do have place able castle gates so doors may also be possible..

Some players have done that to a limited extent, like building a custom small keep with the castle walls set on a village lot and adding a stone flat roof. No windows though.
