This is actually a pretty good solution, but detailing it to the point where you can only stack certain things (like books on tables and shelves) might be difficult. Still good to bring up to the devs.

I saw the pitchfork mob approaching while sitting atop my ankh tower, and made a run for it. :)

I tend to lean in the direction that says, its your house and you should be able to decorate it the way you want. I lean away from the idea that someone playing a multiplayer game can demand not to see something they feel "breaks immersion". It just becomes too subjective and based on individual taste. If its your plot and your house then decorate it however you wish, within the game rules of course.

Obviously there can be extremes on both sides of the argument and hopefully the game rules will be set so as to try and avoid the extremes.

That is the sticking point, as currently the "game rules" do not make any kind of sense whatsoever, so really everyone is free to do whatever they want.

Nooo hooks are horrible and way too restricting, stops you placing items in just the exact right spot and makes you place things in a generic spot which basically kills any creativity and makes the place look about the same as the next guy's place (because similar types of furniture are exactly in the same position from house to house). Ugh.

I just thought you were testing the graphics optimization or were bored having completed everything you wanted to in the release. But which one was it? Hmm.

Hi Lady Amethyst, it was done for testing item stacking for bugs, and then for entertainment. I'm not sure if you posted this before scanning the rest of the thread, but exactly 4 posts after the one you've quoted I explain why the Owl's Head house shown in the screenshot looks the way it does.

    Then again here:
And then summarize my position on the thread, and lot decorating restrictions here:

I am sorry I did not notice these threads. The reason I did not see them is because I just scrolled to the bottom of the screen to respond to you. I never looked to see if there were other pages because I did not think many people would have a complaint about what you did to your house. I was wrong! Although I have been an avid gamer for many years, this is my first online MMORPG because I was always too busy working to get too involved in a game. With all these bad responses to what you did, I wonder what this game will look like in 3 years. I hope you will always be able to do what you want--barring nude graffiti, of course.

Hop in my DeLorean! We shall travel to 3 years from now to see what player housing has turned into!
