Just for interest - lot but no deed? How is this working? Obviously I'm missing some basic-infos ;-)

 

I take it he will remove his deed from it while you're near him to place your own.

 

I got a second lot for sale in a spot closer to the entrance. Also 60K gold. I marked it red in the image below.

Just a reminder: you need your own lot deed to claim the lot when I transfer it to you. This is only for the location.

 

@DarkStarr Why is this allowed? If you want to sell a lot sell, the lot (and deed with it). Otherwise this is garbage tier and I am sad with portalarium for allowing it.

 

Nothing against the TOS here. Nothing wrong here. In-game transaction with in-game gold. He has a spot in a popular area, with no further supply. It has value. Port is trying to develop an in-game economy and this is Economics 101. Full disclosure, I've done it myself and will probably do it again.

He isn't selling both. He is selling access to use your own deed. He doesn't own he lot he own the ability to use the lot.

 

Yes, he owns the ability to use the lot. He owns the location. If you like the location, then he has offered a way for you to obtain it. Again, Economics 101.

 

lol you guys never stop do you, you should be happy that he is selling lots.. think about all new players or late pledgers that missed out on alleys but want a lot there?

 

Not from the OP but I have bought a few lots without deed and it's fairly simple although I wish a safer option was offered.

You pay they unclaim you claim and it's done I have done this multiple times already

 

It is no different than buying a house on the beach, or next to the school of choice for your kids, you want to be in that location then you pay what the market is. For the life of me I don't understand the frame of mind that feels it is wrong to sell something of value for a profit even if it is a perceived value.

Only thing I can think of is it is a knee jerk reaction to ones dislike of those who are perceived to be making money of of the game.

If you're asking Sea Bear about the lots, look up a little higher - he's not the one with the listing - it's Prince Guni

 

Valdor sold me a lot (he was very generous with me -- thank you!) I already had a lot deed, and if he insisted I buy his lot deed along with the lot space, I would not have been able to afford it. I see nothing wrong with selling spots without the deeds. It allows you the ability to move your deed or haggle for the deed in with a package deal or elsewhere. On a side note, I have also dealt with Guni and have had great experiences with him.

The only problem i see is that its not guaranteed.

What if you want to sell me a spot, i pay you, and you drop the house, but someone else manage to take the spot. Unlikely, but what if? I doubt you would have paid me the Money back.

But i see absolutely no issue with " just Selling the spot "

 

Completely agree! Problem is right now if someone was selling the deed with the lot it is the same issue, only even more of a delay as the person hands the other person the deed before it can be placed. There are way too many holes here, and would love to see the dev's address this. If someone approached me to broker I could not even enter such a deal between 2 people as I could not guarantee the delivery, or that one wouldn't have a friend in hiding to steal the lot (single player or otherwise mode).
