Since Atos is working on all these zombies for Tartarus AND the team is also working on improving the NUE, could we please get an occasional infrequent zombie wolf or zombie deer for Solace Bridge? That was one of my first thoughts on exploring that scene -- there are all these zombies around, and all these wolves and deer, in the same area, and the wolves and zombies fight each other frequently, it only makes sense that you're eventually going to end up with a zombie wolf or some zombie deer wandering around. Wildlife diversity is good, and even better when it makes sense within the storyline!

Short of that, since Solace Bridge used to be a residential town before it was invaded by zombies, even using the existing zombie cat and zombie dog graphics to throw in an occasional whoops-that-was-a-pet-once-upon-a-time would add a welcome bit of environmental diversity. (Also, a zombie house cat would totally freak me out and after killing it, I'd have to run away and cry for the poor kitty.)

A hoard of zombie squirrels is actually terrifying.

Everything in Necropolis Barrens should be undead.

How does that work from a story context? Don’t recall the obsidian’s using zombie wolf armies.....

Some places could be oversaturated in Death magic. Could be one possible solution.

Or there's a necromancer nearby who figured out how to raise them nearby.

I was just assuming the standard zombie-ism is infectious line. Wolf or deer gets killed by zombies directly, they get eaten. They escape but are wounded, the wound kills them and turns them into a new zombie. Which is why they wouldn't be as frequent as regular wolves or regular zombies.

I do like the "just saturated in Death magic" idea, though.

Have never played a necromancer myself, but if I were one, I wouldn't see any reason to neglect predator corpses that have natural weapons. Perhaps they wouldn't be as easily controllable as human corpses, but I'd think the predator instincts would still make them useful weapons, especially as just wandering dangers in a border area.

Would just love to see some more zombie hordes at random. The undead are supposed to be on the rise, lets get a breakout coming out of the sewers occasionally. Lets see some hordes on the world map.

Why on earth was it dropped? We've still got potions to cure it, still got an NPC talking about it....

It was bugged. I believe it's effects were supposed to be limited to the scene you were in when you contracted it, but due to a bug, that was not the case. On top of that, another bug allowed NPCs to contract it, and then spread it to every avatar that interacted with that NPC.

Hmm. Sounds like fun rather than a bug to me! Wish I'd been around to see it. Mind you, I'm grateful I don't have to worry about contracting it. Still, sounds like a great way to add some urgency and real danger to the low-tier zombie scenes (and increase the sales of Cure Plague potions).

I missed it too; I only know the story because Chris mentioned it in a recent livestream. He was considering adding it to Tartarus, musing that he believed the bugs had since been fixed. But he didn't seem to feel 100% sure of that.

I love the idea of areas that are undead creatures wandering around with ambiance and music that is capturing the mood. too. Things like undead horses too. Like this example.

Can You imagine tame-able undead horses

Or fishing up undead fish. Maybe they growl at you ;)

Now we had the eerie music and sounds to go into these scenes as well as nightime music and sounds. We need a nice pass over on this. I thought we were getting it when we hired a sound person but that didn't happen.
