Is it me, or is it pay to win

Those items would not exist if they were not being offered in the add-on store. Nothing from the core game is being taken away from you because there are these extras available. You did not already pay for them by paying for the game. They are extras, and their separate funding is what is paying for their creation, plus the extra going towards the game itself, making it a better game for you.

 

Just a question - do you agree that the ones that have the possibility to place houses before others get an ingame advantage? Do they come better prepared to the game?

 

No. But I don't think that Portalarium deciding not to offer ALL items to you at your convenience is either.

 

An unemployed person saying it is unfair that an employed person has an unfair advantage at the game because he can spend $ is no different from the employed person saying the unemployed guy has an unfair advantage because he can put in the hours.

I dont want all items i just want to start the game as prepared as the other guy.

That's patently false. Extra content is frequently developed alongside the game. Sometimes it's already IN the game, but requires an unlock code for use.

 

So Portalarium is greedy, incompetent, and deceptive for selling optional items to those who choose to buy them? I was under the impression that they were selling them to fund the features that the community demands be included.

 

I work as a physiotherapist and i cant afford investing this kind of money.

Point here is that real life money should not give you a better starting position ingame.

I understand. I'm trying to help you understand how this game is being funded for creation. Without giving initial backers a "upper hand" you would have no game to play, and no forum to communicate through.

 

No your not and there is nothing hard to understand with the crowd sourcing model.

 

Not getting into debates over what people can and can't afford.....all I will say is that there are many people who made sacrifices...took out payment plans...cut back on those couple if pints of beer a week and pledged reasonably high.

Without real life money the game wouldn't have even got off the ground, you should be grateful that it's going to launch and looks amazing.

There's no need to be rude. There's no denial here. Just someone who understands what P2W is and knows buying a few cosmetic items and cosmetic rewards aren't it.

I am hoping this is going to be more of a content and community based game. If people are going to obsess over having all the items, I'd rather they found another game.

 

A kid got a million dollar from his dad and cause of that he came better prepared to SotA. Does it sound fair?

It is easy to understand that some dont like this crowd sourcing model.
