Petition keep Auto Attack...

Well an option is fine. I love free attack, finally made combat a bit more fun for me. It really depends on what is happening with combat as we delve deeper. There might be some unknown factors later, who knows.

 

This post seems like a mere attack on Chris more than it is meant to be anything constructive.

 

how about using a mouse with 5 or more buttons? if its only that you move forword than go away from left and right click and use mouse 4 or 5

It's not about clicks ... when u try and move the free attack thinks u want to attack when all you want to do is move. This is a game breaker go try it... 7ll see

 

But there are to different problems, one is how free atack works and that most of the keys cant be configt, and the problem that a game mechanic dont work with futur mechanics in that case autoatack wich is a place holder.

your guys problems can be fixed with out having autoatack in game.

 

I use my 'w' key to move while in free attack. If you go out of combat you can walk normally. Half the time I keep my finger by my 'w' and 's' key even though I use the mouse mainly to walk. During combat since free attack is turned on for sure with me since I play a warrior and don't like the combo system, I don't want to drag anything, even though I do occasionally do it. I love to rev up my free attacks for some more power. Plus I find it more challenging to me personally to have to think of where I am pointing the attacks. It is just less boring to me that regular combat we had before with no fun options.

 

It's nothing of the sort. Chris is a rockstar. You can probably attribute more of the successful development so far to him then you can to Richard and Starr. I've got nothing but respect for him and his work.

 

Forget u have wasd and all you have is a mouse enable free attack and go play the game see what happens.

1. I like autoattack
2. I'd be completely happy if u deleted both or at least took free attack off the mouse.
3. The option to choose is prefered.

 

I did try this, my mouse has two side buttons on the left, which I bound forward and reverse movement to when I was attempting to try free attack mode. While it did work. .it just didn't feel good. It could have been issues with the ergonomics of my mouse but I certainly didn't like it.

I'd be happy with the free attack if I could still move when i held the two mouse clicks together but stopped momentarily to swing the sword if I clicked left click on it's own.

 

I agree, keep auto-attack in...could fiddle with the impact of using it (or not), but make it a valid option.

 

I think it should be optional. I support auto-attack and I have friends who are currently playing the game with disabilities and auto-attack is the only viable means of combat for them. Taking this option away could make the game very difficult to play for some of our community.

this game has a large nostalgia audience. even those of us (not me) who might have liked fast-paced insta-react combat when we were younger are no longer in a position to be quite so good at it as we were. ...and we shouldn't need special hardware to compensate.
