At the moment it comes down to that, very true. By Portalariums advertising the scene is owned by the PoT owner.
Still I think we need some common sense if it comes to PoTs.

It dose and of course I want that. That's the main reason I find the ban option troublesome.

Thank you, I think that this is good reason for no bans. People and guilds like you can enforce with a purpose. It gives meaning instead of a magic wand to just ban.

Well you can enter every town in real life as well and you have to submit to the given rule set.
To me that's part of the sandbox.
You just have to deal with the mistakes you make.

That's why the guild exists in the first place.
I also would prefer no ban option.
Just wanted to point out that I know pvp pot owners that want one ^^ didn't say I like it though.

Yep, I agree. Which is why the existing powers as implemented is so problematic with core game systems. I mean the OP is about PvP towns, but you can see how bad it is even for the Oracle flag and PvE POTs conflicting with that.

The biggest problem I see is that the town discussion is pretty heated at the moment.
And now we connected it to pvp. Which is a hot debated topic since.... Well since the kickstarter Oo bad combination ^^

could not guild warfare ruleset specify rules of engagement? This would not affect the balance of world pvp.

In effect, this would be banning everyone instead of banning specific people. I think that is rather limiting when it comes to running a POT.

Think the question be is, do you want to run a pvp POT or a pve POT in a pvp zone.

What is the purpose of purchasing a POT if you can not customize the zone to your way. The residents in the POT probably will agree to your customized rule set. Shouldn't there the methods available to fulling govern these rules.

Else, POT ownership is to create a group of plots that would not other wise be there.

First question would be, does it break the game rules.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but I thought that Starr said this ban power is not what they planned and not what they wanted. But rather that to ensure that player events keeping the game alive during alpha needed this measure. And similarly as to the Lot Block that this was the easiest short term measure. But they were hoping to come up with something better later when they had time? It was in the hangout after the decision but I don't remember which one it was?

For those new; the Lot Block was an invisible barrier blocking access to lots set to "private", it was an ugly short term iterative thing. It has now been replaced with Private lots having all doors 'locked' so you can run through their yards but not access their house.

I don't know. Thank you tho spoon. Is there a chance for no bans in pvp areas? I am just testing the waters now. If there is no good pvp in game I might just skip it.
