Any that's shuffled to Travian or Black sun needs to still be able to be able to use these forums or else our creativity is split into 3 parts

Greetings All, I see this is another flawless migration for users. Yes game play may be the same because all the game servers are in the US and we all play there together. But the game is more than just the game play. I am glad the forums are the same. I would hate to think that my migration would mean that I would not be able to talk to my friends in other countries. What about the telethons or flash sales though? If I am migrated to another country and want to spend my $5 dollars to get the rewards is Travian or Black Sun going to be tied into Port and let them know I spent my $5? Or is the Flash Sale even going to be the same? It won't be the same price due to different VATs in different countries. I predict that there will not be any more telethons (please prove me wrong Port) and since you will not be able to access the US site you won't even know when flash sales are offered or if they are different

Hope you have tought out this very well, Portalarium and Travian. I don’t want to experience any impact because of this. Especially in accessing my account data and the exact listings of all things bought, earned, achieved, gifted etc. I also assume that as a eligible backer I still will have access to heraldry, naming etc.. I am not happy with this short notice announcement. Leaves some bad taste.

 

@Cerus another REMARK:

the starter packages sold in the travian site don't have the 30 bank slots in the bundle
EDIT: Bank slots are only shown in comparison view!

BUT the normal game on sota has already 30 slots on travian not
so
QUESTION: Does the travian game sale not include the 30 bank slots like the portalarium game sale??

 

I am not going to buy something for 500 euros if I could get it for 400 euros if I would be able to buy it in the USD store. That's not going to happen. Ever. And I doubt any sane person from the EU would.

 

This sucks. No advantages, only disadvantages.

Oh boy another migration of user account! Yay! Same BS (more ways than 1!) locked threads of a bunch of non-account specific questions still apply here.

Isn't it a little late to agree to a data sharing agreement, after your data is already shared without your permission?

 

@Cerus this highlights why the need to announce this earlier was clear. The time the game launches it will be around 4pm UK and 5pm in mid europe. It will be effectively "too late" as of course a lot of us will be working tomorrow and cant site watch while working - making the announcement today at 7.45pm UK 8.45pm main europe.. is late in the day .. I think in a way this has been surprised onto all of us..

I didnt realise we were to be hived off, while I knew Tavian was in it somewhere, and to be honest, I will put my hand up and say I wasnt keen with the idea, but we waited for the implementation, the announcement has raised a lot of eyebrows and questions and there will not be time to address it.

 

As an Australian who has for years suffered through this sort of thing I feel for you. Thankfully there isn't an Australian publisher to force this on us (Which normally happens).

I guess since regional economies haven't worked out that well to date in the game so they have to force it in the real world

 

Few questions:

• Will Portalarium seek to standardize global store prices to ensure that the country of origin does not gain any competitive advantage? (Currently the game has essentially shot up from $39 to around $50 for EU customers)
• Will customers outside the States still be able to take part in telethons and gain rewards?
• Will customers outside the States still have access to all account features from day 1 (eg Blazons, PoT Transfers etc etc)
• Bearing in mind that at the point of pledge (before Travian was involved) nobody from the EU could anticipate this outcome. What exactly is the benefit for EU customers?
