There were no mechanics in R6 to speak of, how can you say that is has gone wrong before it is even in the test?

I think you are putting the cart before the horse.

The skill WoW style is a mechanics that explain you how it works
The deck on your bars is a mechanics (WoW style)
The istance with hexagon let you understand the mechanics of view/party/engage other player

I suggest you to read better and avoid to spend time to find picture, use this time to understand the topic next time

If you want to make a reaserch write this in google "unity 3d massive multiplayer game problem", and probably you can understand that is a "single player oriented" than a "massime multiplayer", oh if you can understand something of what they wrote about.

Strange how you insinuate that someone else should better understand the topic when you clearly haven't understood that the combat system currently in place, ie the WoW bar is temporary until they have the deck system in which isn't there yet. This is readily available information throughout the forums, if you take the time to read it and understand it.

There is no deck in R6 or prior yet.... if you mean the User Interface where you launch spells and attacks, I can assure you that it existed long before WoW... in fact take a look at Meridian 59 or Ultima Online or countless others that pre-date WoW ;)

Once again these concepts also pre-date WoW (Meridian 59, UO, etc).

Thank you for your advice. I suggest you consider again that you are complaining about things that don't exist yet.

I don't think WOW players will like SotA... specially when the other features are added into the game...

The system is not about to have a "bar of skills or not". Actually you can play UO with a skills bar in the 3D client, and in the old UO you could made something similar with the macros. That is not about the system, is about the interface.

That is completely true. But not the point as monetarily they're not in a bad place. And I doubt giving Dukes what they deserve will break them. And if they actually brought the value of the dukes pledge back to $5K and they might even sell them out.

I remember RG comenting on a recent video how smart his pledging plan was, since the higher pledges didn t requiere much more time investment (financial resources) on their part while pledgers were spending exponentially more. The only part he was regretting was to have to ship physical rewards. If i find that video again, i ll post it to you. Your lobbying might or might not be heard depending only on their good will, as Tachys mentioned, pledging doesnt give you rights on a legal level, you are neither a shareholder nor a bond holder, just a contributor who gave away cash to a project proportionally to his contributing power. Thanks for your highly beneficial virtue!;)

    around 15'30

It s interesting he mentioned Oculus Rift as a crowdfunding example...Let s hope this project wont follow the same fate, for the exclusive profit of the shareholders (socializing efforts and risks, while privatizing profits).

So did I but it didn't say you could buy up founder pledges for a year after the kickstarter ended and that late backers could then also do the same on an industrial scale with $25 reward for doing it, or players could buy multi land plots per account when they are a finite amount within the game, and the main development focus was designing house styles and add on shop items. It also led me to believe that the overland map looked like a 3d isometric view that would have encounters on it.
So what some people thought they should get was accommodated for the sake of a few dollars more rather than run a successful funding stretch goal campaign. And a main bidding feature of the game was dumped because they didn't want to spend the time & money on making it work.
I'd say a lot of complaints are basically for changes made after the end of kickstarter.

I played UO from launch and also played WoW from launch for 2000 hours until finally realising how badly it sucked.

SotA isn't comparable to WoW at all so far imo. Raiding, bind on equip/pick up, generic crafting with no randomness, loot with no randomness, having the same gear/same look as all other chars of your class, no economic system, following a laid out path in game that all other people also followed and thus never feeling like you were doing something unique.... that were basically the aspects that made WoW a complete failure in my eyes.

I have seen none of these failures in SotA so far. To me SotA feels like a spiritual successor to UO.. keeping in mind, that free-for-all open world PvP will NEVER work in a game again, simply because there are so many players compared to 1997-1998.
It was cool when you 'might' sporadically run into a PK when you decided to kill some dragons - it's not cool when you run into PKs whenever you leave town.

The only thing I'm currently worried about, is that they will focus SotA too much towards the g̶i̶r̶l̶s̶ ^^, RPers, house decorators, socialisors, merchants and crafters - don't get me wrong.. I will enjoy all of the things, but well functioning PvP is absolutely vital as an end game goal.

Nah, the way I see it, they had to build that up as a foundation because a lot of their infrastructure relies on you being able to load what the other players have done... and update that information whenever you log on.

It is kind of sad it's the only feature worth mentioning at this point but I think you're safe. The actual game is on its way.

    Sorry, you have no clue...

How can you claim this? If you're never played WoW or did you? I can't tell... I agree it was mass produced 30 million times...

the only things which make me regret the money I spent on this game is the cards (and that's after getting into Magic and Heartstone) and the shear amount of microtransactions in this game after the way the devs hid and lied about (for example RG stating this game was "Buy to OWN") that fact during Kickstarter. That REALLY gets up my nose, why the hell should anyone pay 100s even 1000s for a game only to have microtransactions trying to suck even more money out. How greedy can you get? Either its buy to own and you pay x to buy and play the game (ESPECIALLY when your paying before there even IS a game) or it free to play or subscription and you get the game for free and pay as you play.

Some would call the things you worry about end game content. PVP can't be the only thing to do after the story is finished.

Hmm think you might be disappointed again since the release date has been pushed back and you won't be able to have your LOL moment this year.
