Same map but in black & white plus some sharpening to bring out the terrain and elevation.

UPDATE: I have decided that I will be keeping contribution tiers at their pre-May 1st values, until a preset value (soon to be listed on the mission statement) is reached. It will equate to a set portion of my personal share of town ownership that I will be donating. If the full amount that I've set aside is reached before the town is designed, we will be able to upgrade from a Hamlet to a Village.

Once the town is created, contribution tiers will again reflect whatever the current PoT pricing is listed on the Portalarium Add-on Store

After having a few more people join, I wanted to update our current lots availablility for anyone that might be looking for a PoT to be part of. Our current setup has 8 Row lots, 15 Village lots, 6 Town lots and 1 City lot. Of those, the remaining lots are 5 Row lots, 7 Village lots (3 water), and 4 Town lots (1 water).

This is just a preliminary breakdown, and lot space can be reallocated for anyone that wishes to claim a lot type that isn't available anymore (City). The town will not have a keep or castle lot, for any that might have wondered.

I see that you are not having a Keep lot. Just wanted to let you know that as far as I have seen, the only people with Keep Lot DEEDS will be Dukes+. So, while having a lot is easy enough for your city, the only way you could use that is to buy the DEED from a DUKE+ that is not using theirs. I have not seen any info about being able to buy Keep/Castle Deeds in the add-on or in game from a vendor.

Just an FYI for anyone else that may be following this. :)

    Good luck on this project!!

Thanks for the well wishes. I only mentioned not having keep and castle lots for one main reason, which is theme. I understand that precludes any Dukes or above from having their primary residence in Breaker's Landing, but honestly, I don't think that was ever going to be an issue.

Breaker's Landing, from Birko's R20 map. I color coded our neighbors in terms of size and whether they are PvP oriented.

    Metropolis : PaxLair , Praga , Liberty
Town : Dawn's Keep, Illusive Cavern
Crossroad Village : Hen Felin, LockBrier
    Hamlet : Breaker's Landing
    Holdfast : Neath

Breaker's Landing is sort of hard to describe. You wouldn't think that a bunch of unguilded strangers would band together to set this up - but we did. The hamlet is off the beaten path & even though it's near PaxLair & Dawn's Keep it's quite easy to miss.

The first time i sneaked my way through the Eastern valley-of-death in my low level avatar it took me about 15 minutes to find it (and I had SotaMap). And once I got in the first thought that came into my head was "Where the hell is it ???".

After trekking through one of the most beautiful landscapes I"ve ever seen I finally set my eyes on our town. And it was only then I finally understood why people put in so much time, effort & resources in locations like PaxLair.

    I was home.

I've updated the mission statement to better reflect contribution opportunities still available. Found at Community Project

Now that Breaker's Landing is beginning to have a character of its own and looks to be on a good road moving forward to the future - I'm breaking out my tools again so we can have some sort of model we can play and debate around with.

I stumbled upon this thread on town sieges https://www.shroudoftheavatar.com/forum/index.php?threads/town-sieges.37473/:

and was wondering whether a Castra (Roman style fort) would be a good addition to our town. Something modest of course at first, maybe a smaller version of the one below. The construction of the PvP coliseum out of granite blocks gave me this idea. Let me know your thoughts. [IMG]

It would be awesome, certainly, but I believe the current limitations on stacking might prevent this. However, we will eventually be able to build our own walls and it was confirmed that walls like the dark stone with spikes walls in the add-on store will eventually be craftable, except in a lighter color and no spikes.

A few shots. Very rough, already have 2 sets of blocks but nearly ran out at the end of construction. Basically a maze with multilayer-wall defenses.

Tested the maze with my water elemental, she can't negotiate the steps. Braziers and lamps are fine but not wall candles (and probably not torches). I placed some seats in the small open space in the back btw. @Solstar, @amaasing I gave both of you Kindred permissions - feel free to tinker :)

@Numa - Been watching this go up and have been amazed and what you have been able to do. I have added more blocks to the chest in case you want to use them. Nice Job!

Thanks , much appreciated :) Those extra blocks will come in handy - I want to convert part of the structure into actual living space if I can.

For posterity till the next wipe. Thanks to @amaasing for all those blocks that magically appeared in my chest :)

The next tool I want on the wish list is something that will help everyone lay down blocks in a straight line.
