You are not confused about what they are writting. But just as i am asking yourself - do they truly think this kind of twisting words will not be noticed.
It is offending the intelligence of us customers. We are not that stupid!

Baron. You are for me not representing what i get from the public perception of the game. ( exchanged consumers with public perception, better word)

You represent the interests of Portalarium mainly. And you do a very good job with it.

No one says they are not good people.


But the customers are good people also. We provided money we also work for.
Treat us with clear communication at least - as we customers deserve it.

 

The amount of paranoia in parts of this community is breathtaking.
I fully understand if the game isn't what some people expected. Honestly it isn't what I expected. But I like it non the less.
That's a bit too much drama here at the moment for a investment round and the 'story complete' stuff.

 

But we can still have opinion and be angry about a company we invested in.

Or do we need an approval or formal request first?

 

Ok, story complete in July, launch end of the year.

Will physical items (collector boxes) ben sent on july or end of the year ?

It seems to be a common misunderstanding here. It's not the fact that people complain that annoys me and a couple of other people. It's how. All is outrage and drama. I am getting too old for stuff like that.

You mean the progress of the game?
You mean the new fundraising afford?
You have to be more specific, a lot of stuff happens during the last four years.
I married for example but I guess that's not what you are talking about ;-)

 

I honestly don't know a single one at all.
But than again I don't actively read German pc gaming magazines or pages because they are terrible click baits. Almost all of them.

So we have PC Game - just traditional long well known Game Magazine posting even on the Online Page of them confusion about Release. With a Question Mark?
If a German User will Google for German Information he will also stumble over an article covering Chris Posts on the MMO Site - title Shitstorm with Avatar Community.


So just saying. It is not only us in this Forum getting confronted with Confusion or how they communicate.
Articles are written and potential new customers in Germany read it!.

Players who could help this Game if the got interested and purchased it. But not with such articles out there.

From a journalist point of view those are all very interesting stories. A gaming magazine isn't meant to help a developer sell games, it is meant to inform gamers, tell interesting stories and give advice about games. If a game is good and a review is positive then of course this will help the developers but if it isn't then the developer has to live with this.
And let's face it, the whole situation with SotA is a very interesting story.

 

Lass mich das kurz auf Deutsch abhaken damit wir mit dem Thema durch sind. Mein Interesse mich mit dir zu zanken ist nämlich relativ gering.

1.) PC Games. Genau das meinte ich mit Click Bait Seite. Das Magazin war früher herausragend. Derweil ist es nur noch schrott. Mehr Werbung als Inhalt. Was auch nicht schwer ist denn der Inhalt ist so nah bei Null wie eine natürliche Zahl nur sein kann.

2.) Gamezine. Seh ich mir mal an.

3.) mein mmo. Allein die Überschrift ist inhaltlich mehr als fragwürdig.

Wenn du was brauchbares lesen willst, lies Rock Paper Shotgun. Die berichten gar nicht über SotA. Was natürlich auch ein Zeichen ist, denn die berichten ansonsten durchaus über eine ganze Menge kleinen Indi stuff.

Yes this is also something that bothers me. There are so many different places in the web that criticize the game and only here on this forum everything is beautiful and great. But all the others are wrong and bad and just here the game is presented in the "right" way?

 

Mh? There are positive articles as well.
That wasn't my point. My point was that most of the articles are from meaningless sources.
Meaningful sources just don't care at all about sota.

 

It is kinda black and white. The game is lacking positive press because I think a lot of people feel they aren't heard here and vent on the outside. Not really whistleblowing, but in the same spirit.

Of course you will always have haters on every game.. But a good game manages to maintain a positive audience all around. They tried to avoid all conflict, which usually leads to MORE conflict.

There is no exchange of ideas and what meinMMO was saying it has become obvious no clear concept of the game existed. Most people pledged believing they can deliver UO+U7, but there was nothing designed - just promises. They even posted video proof of LB and Darkstarr admitting is was just an idea to make a KS to save the company.

Even if all that is true, NOW we should have a concept of what we are going to get. AND they should give us that info. Either we like it and stay, or we move on.
But right now they keep everyone in limbo.

 

There you may be right. But as you said, even this isn't a very positive development.
I remember that MMORPG.com talked rather positively about SotA until the infamous review came up. And even on MassivelyOP the mood seems to have changed.
Yet on Polygon I read that Richard Garriott thinks that most people still think very positively about SotA. I don't know... I get another impression...
