Lost House and Lot Deed

Hi.

Am an Ancestor backer (275) with a couple of bought add ons (3 story house, basement) and have been playing about a year and a half. Haven't logged on since November but just logged back in and have lost my house and my lot deed is not in bank or inventory...

My stuff is in bank but no deeds. No idea what is up but a bit upset this happened.

Is this a known issue?

How do I contact devs?

How do I get help here?

Thanks very much in advance and I am sorry if I have missed something obvious. I have kids and a real biz to run and have been busy for awhile...

OK - restarted and went to bank and deed is there. But all my house stuff says (lot - eastmarch) as if still there...

I go home and house is empty... It's available to claim...

Confused as to whether I should just try again tomorrow or reclaim it...

Go to the bank in Eastmarch and click on the items that say lot-Eastmarch. They are actually in the bank. The description just sounds like they are on your lot.

 

I will do that now... Any ideas why I lost my lot or what happened? I am in a backwater on purpose. If I was in Adoris would be a bigger prob... ;-)

Lot placement isn't permanent. it is based on your pledge level when it comes to Benefactor and Founder deeds. I'll see if I can find the list on length of time.

 

It's 5 or 6 mos.. This is a bit weird... I did look into that bit..

It's a mystery to me why your lot expired if the deed you are talking about was the tax-free deed that came with your Ancestor pledge.

The Housing FAQ states:

"Backers at Ancestor level and above receive a tax exempt Lot Deed but the lot can still revert after an extended amount of inactivity (4 months at Ancestor level, 5 months at Citizen level, and an additional month per level after that)."

If you were active in November, you weren't inactive for more than 4 months. I would contact Portalarium Support and ask them why your lot claim expired (support@Portalarium.com).

I wouldn't mind some advice here too. I just logged on after quite a while and it said my lot deed had expired. In panic I raced to my lot and it was vacant but everything was in the bank. I had to reclaim the lot and am starting to put all my things back. It says my new claim on the lot will expire in 150 days.

I find this weird. I am a Royal Founder. I backed the game in the first week on Kickstarter. I understand I have a tax-free claim for life. Why should I have to reclaim my lot every 5 months? Is there a risk I will lose it? How can I renew so my stuff doesn't all go back to the bank each time?

You only have to login every 5 month to renew the timer.

 

You won't lose your pledge purchased deed and houses They are account bound. If you plan to take another long leave, perhaps if you have a friend they can help you to refresh is one alternative. Welcome back btw. Hopefully you enjoy the progress the game has seen in 5 months

The expiration is to prevent vacant lots being wasted by inactive players.

 

Just FYI, to report stuff make sure you put it in the bug forum section. That is where you will find us QA folks when we are running though reported issues. I only peek in here in my off time.

I don't think a player should be punished for being "inactive" before the game is actually finished. We're not all up for alpha / beta testing. Some of us placed our homes in the hope of having a place to live in the finished game.

I just logged in today to discover that my Founder Knight home in Brittany Fields is gone. I can't tell you how I agonized over the land rush, lost time at work, etc. in order to claim that lot. I fought hard to have a place for me and my family to live once the game was finished.

I haven't gotten a response from CS yet, but I think it's safe to assume that there are no more village lots left in the game (considering how fast they went during the land rush). Now I am out $800 and homeless.

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed.

I didn't know I had to log in every once in a while. I could have done that easily. I read all the emails I received about the game's progress and followed its development that way, but I didn't bother loading up the game because I didn't want to play it until it was ready. Is that something I should be punished for, and have the home I worked so hard for taken away?

There are village lots still left in game but not in Brittany. You could try Elad's lighthouse or Celestis. There are some really good player own towns that you could try.

 

this sheet is several months old, but probably still accurate in terms of general numbers. this is for npc story and non-story towns, and there's a link there to another sheet for pots, which are more variable.

there may not be any more spaces in brit fields, but there are plenty of lots in good locations if you're not comforable going to a pot.

 

I can confirm that there are village lots still available at Elad's (at least as of yesterday).
