not much funds where raised from telathon

I would have spent some money but it was yet another event really tough to attend due to my timezone, I still after all these months can't seem to even find something that helps me set alarms for these Sota events. Timezones exist Americans!

 

All good suggestions and yes it was not as much raised as we usually do, but that does happen sometimes. I still found lots to raise and I heard some things that I was really, really wishing for so it was a successful telethon for that reason to me . So onward we go and to feedback that makes a difference to releasing the best we can. *cheers* everyone and here's hoping 2018 will be a fantastic year for you all. :

 

Don't worry about the sales and just buy what you want at full price. I promise you will be much happier in the long run!

 

Yeah I think they are a little out of touch on online sales... One of them (who is awesome like all developers, please don't lock this thread) said Easter would be a bad release time because people would be on holiday...

But people on holiday buy games on steam... Not people at work... Who goes to Best buy to pick up games?

I know personally I didn't continue my $30 streak this time because the meaningful questions all get insubstantial and dismissive answers, like we are children trying to get them to pull over at mcdonalds, when we are actually saying hey, we've been on your fast for a year... Can you at least say what kind of food you're thinking about?

 

I think part of the low number is doing the telethon on a Monday .... Do it on a Friday when work is slooow.
I'm kind of sad that there will be no ice halberd now. I'd buy one if they put it on the addon store though.

 

Yeah, I wanted more weapons too.

At least I'll be able to have my toon run about as an "Ice Princess" wielding an Ice Sword/Wand and Shield. That's going to be kind of fun.

All the Water/Ice spells as a build. Could be an interesting plaything. (If only I can find some of those tier 2 Heartwood Recipes...)

 

I wanted to spend some, but didn't. Way too few rewards were unlocked. I am usually the 'effort/price v reward' guy.

 

Smart phone and cell service? That's how I do it when I'm out of town.

nothing interesting in the rewards and nothing on the store that I wanted to drop $5 on is my excuse.

We're just coming off of the xmas holidays, where many people spent a lot of their disposable income (and not-so-disposable income too), so it's not a surprise that they didn't raise as much as previous telethons.

 

They still take funds after 9pm for players to be awarded rewards, but they do not apply it to the goals during the telethon. Kinda lame

SOTA - we will take your moneys! but you wont get goals beyond telethon end!

No joke I was working throughout the entire time and subsequent pledge window. A longer time window where money spent will contribute would be appreciated. Maybe a 24 hour period?

Just add a dynamic weather system. That would be a good goal for the next telethon.
Give us goals worth our cash and time.

 

I spent ten times as much on this game then any other game. I think that is enough until we find out how the game is going to turn out. Plus last time I submitted questions, I got short half answers.
