I wouldn't mind if they were a little bigger than they were before. But yeah, the size of these current hatches severely limit where you can place the hatch and have it look appropriate. As it is, it looks like a storm shelter hatch rather than a basement hatch.

It takes up half the room in a row house on some of the row house models.

Also, they don't even fit outside of a lot of houses.

I agree...the hatches are a tad too big...they look much, much better than the old ones though. Also, being able to use them on all floor levels and water, imo, simply makes them teleporters with another name. I find this immersion breaking...it's either a teleporter or a hatch. If it's a teleporter then it look should look like one.

Not just a "tad" - they need to revert to old sizes. They do not fit into row houses. If they want to make two sizes that would be fine, but most people will own village houses or row houses in this game and it's just wrong to design solely for castle sizes, which next to nobody is going to have.

    The hatches must be reverted.

They are huge! I'd like to see both a smaller and larger variation actually. Variety is the spice of life.

But there's no reason they all should be as small as they were before.

Yeah I think it would be nice to have variety.

Ideally they could give us the tools to scale them ourselves, I hope to see this in the future.

But in meantime they have to realise that they made the hatches too big for most normal use, and need to either scale the ONLY one they make right back, or create a second one which is much smaller, around the same size as it used to be before this change.

Going off of that idea, it'd be neat if we had a variety of hatch styles to fit the different motifs of the houses in SotA.
