Should always have a banker next to your water vendor so you can just buy it, dump it in bank and then remote bank access it on your lot. Pick up the remote bank move to a new location drop it pull out more water etc. hooray 4 being super lazy !

See now here's an avatar that knows about some water buying!! I'll have to keep a look out for one of those RA-banks. That will definitely come in handy, not just for water, but my crop harvest weighs like 700lbs too

I got tired of selling my beer.
I need to click on the cask to open it, then shift click on the beer to open and then shift the slider from 1 to 40, move the 40 to the merchant window and then close the cask window (to avoid cluttering).
Then repeat for # of casks.
    Is there an easier way?
In agriculture I can plant/water/harvest roughly 25 seeds on average, way less clicks for same profit (but also not doing since mining/looting still is more profitable and less boring, sorry).
I will wait for the whiskey results (and the end of the nerf)

The easiest way i found was to have all your matured cask placed in world to start with. Since "E" no longer takes all from owned containers, i "use" (no pun intended) that to my advantage. I simply hover over my casks while spamming the E key, once i've opened every cask in range and they (the inventory windows for the casks) are neatly stacked on top of each other, i spam click the "Take All" buttons, which has the added bonus of closing the window it's clicked from.

Then i bring all the beer to the vendor at once to sell.

edit: I dont have any hard numbers as to how long this takes, i just kinda breezed through it when i emptied 40 cask the other day though. Took less than a couple minutes to do all 40.

If you drop yourself out of deco mode you don't need to use the slider, it picks up the stack.

It's a configurable keybinding in the options. I forget what the default is.

so... i think i had the brewing bug happen to me this morning... i was checking on my wine, and when i looked in the chest, the completed contents of all my casks were sitting in the chest along with the empty casks... about 30 min before they were suppose to be finished. Couldn't open the empty casks until the timer finished and they were in fact empty.

No clue how that happened or how to reproduce, but i totally understand now why brewing got an emergency nerf.

So port... Sorry i panicked and said you guys were bad at math... :p i just hope this bug is top priority because i wanna get to brewing! already sitting on 200 wine casks and making more everyday.

Can anyone give the information on:
    a) # of items received per cask by type (I don't know if it varies or is fixed?)
    b) Sell value for each of the items pre-nerf? ;)

So it is always 40 items per cask, regardless of beer, whiskey, and wine?

Its to do with the containers within containers thing. If you put a cask into a box for example (before turning it into a wine cask, beer cask etc) it will reduce the inventory space so the cask will show was 299/299. Put in a second one and both will show 298/298. You fill a box with 300 and all the casks will show 0/0 so when it matures there is no space in the cask for the product to be placed so it will dump it into the chest making the overall container 301/300.

    Something like that anyway....

All of them should give you 40. At least it does for beer and wine, not sure on Whiskey yet since those haven't matured yet.
Beer is valued at 5 (sells for 4) and wine is valued at 7 (sells for 6).

Thanks very much! I'm very curious about the whiskey values when they're available.

    • Alcohol Economic Balance: During Release 55, we had to patch a reduction in value to alcoholic beverages due to an exploit and some economic imbalances we discovered. In Release 56, we have fixed the underlying exploit and we have done an overall economic balance pass. Beer and Wine, which have relatively short maturation periods of 3 and 7 days respectively, are now balanced for a profitability more in line with other agricultural products (albeit slightly better). Whiskeys, which have long maturation periods of 30 days or more, have been returned to the most profitable endeavor of brewing.

I quit. No for real, i quit.

      Beer is now 2g per
      wine is now 3g per

You can't break even on beer
You barely outdo cotton with wine, and i mean BARELY, if not just under cotton

Gotta admit, two mnths is a new record for an MMO to completely lose my confidence, so at least Port got that.

      Bye guys!
