If its done its not on show. The indestructible one never needs repair so won't break. Any other brought in game or crafted by players will need to be reapired. Maybe they will produce better ones as the crafters skill up so a better chance of catching something special.

I just gotta say it is quite amusing that this is the second "oren" thread necroed today dating back seven months.

Weirdness.

 

To answer your original question: the fishing pole you purchase is blessed, you will never loss it. You can delete your chr and the pole (or anything else you purchase), is tied to your account. The pole will never need repairing. You can sell/give it to another player, but you will lose it then.

As far as I know it will give you the same chances at fishing, as any other pole. You will be able to acquire a pole in game (possibly craft one), but it will need repairing, and the older it gets (more uses/repairs), the more expensive it will be to repair, so there will be a time when it will be cheaper to buy a new pole in-game.

My guess/hope is that, once the game launches, all the items in the online store will be not available ever again, that's why I purchased both 6 packs of tools, including a fishing pole, as these will be very "rare" items if that happens... There has already been a few items that are no longer available, and the pole used to be $5.00 (if I remember correctly). Hopefully they will re-stock it with new items each episode as systems are added.
