Longer play time in R3 is indicative of people enjoying playing together; which is why so many MMOs focus on community and guilds. It facilitates player retention.

I deleted and recreated my character at least 3 times... Not to mention the time I made this "Not ChrisSpears" character. *giggles and winks at Chris*

I totally fangirl'd over all the devs I ran into over the weekend, so here's yet another obligatory fangirl screenshot:

    Thnx Chris.

When i logged in R3 other then slow zoning and some lag hick ups i was surprised it went so well. the over all feel and looks of things was as good as R1 R2 . I actually didn't find bugs , or anything worth sending in a bug report. Just spent my time looking and wishing for more ;] .

So thank you and keep up the good work.

    There is waterfall development.

    There is agile development.

And then there is Bruce Lee development.

I think SotA is in the third camp.

Chris, thanks for your honesty. I hope some people here in the forum will think about the limits the project have and come back to the bottom of reality. I can imagine how hard you all work. Please, dont leave your project path to much and focus your target.

Great to read all these backgrounds from you, Chris.
And I must admit, I remained much longer ingame than originally intended during the R4 time frame.
From experiencing the new village, Braemar, to trying to discover the secrets of crafting up to partying with other players, chatting and even joining the "Kingsport roof cats" Monday evening.
It was overall fun, and its impressive how quick you can respond to bugs like the inhabitants locking their doors against the invasion of the outlanders ;-)

Thanks for the update Chris, much appreciated! 7500+ for a pre-alpha test is great. I'm sure that number will increase as more features are added, etc. Like many of my fellow playtesters I increased my play sessions by a large factor. Look forward to R4!

Thank you Chris. It really helps put this all in perspective to hear what goes on behind the scenes. I wish I could help more. Now where's that magic wand, lol oh you guys have it. You are creating magic for us.;)

    Thanks, interesting post!

SoTA has been a really special experience so far, after following the project for pretty much a year it was awesome to see it go "live" for a moment. Gotta appreciate the dev team's hard work. *thumbs up*
