City 2 story stone and wood basement is pitch dark.

    I'm going to add a bit to this, as I was invited to take a look.

    The screenshot above actually doesn't look too bad with the braziers. However, experimenting with typical light sources (wall mounted candles etc), what we found was with larger basements, creating a good level of light in the middle of the room wasn't possible to achieve without a significant number of lightsources. Now, I like that we can have dark basements, but for those that wanted to be able to illuminate them more, it might be an idea if there were larger, ceiling mounted light sources available.

    Awesome. I love games embracing true darkness. Ceiling mounted light sources should definitely be added. Not to sure making the existing light sources brighter is a good idea either. It's hard to get that authentic medieval feeling without smoke-covered walls bathed in the yellow glow of torchlight.
