    32GB of RAM, 8GB GPU

I do have mods I'll disable them and try later.

I have Windows Update set to only download when I tell it to, I check it at least daily, if not more.

More than enough. It sounds to me like dotnet garbage collection (periodic, short duration hitch). Writing games in a garbage collected language is not the best choice.

It looks like the culprit is SOTAInfo (for me at least). Turning it off gets rid of the hitch, tried 3 times with it off/on.

Should have thought of it while testing. I'll see if that is the culprit for the download speed later also.

    thanks @Alley Oop

Didn't think of that since I don't run any Lua scripts. Good to hear you got it sorted.

[edit] Lua is also garbage collected BTW.

So, disabling the LUA add-on's did not improve my internet speeds when SotA is running.

Have you tried running SotA directly without the launcher?

I am hitching horrible in game. The game is unplayable to me. I don't play on steam, I have no lua's, and I have 32gb of ram. The only new thing is I recently moved and have a new cable company but this did not happen before our last update and I have logged in before today and all was fine. . Only today and didn't get a chance to play for a few days due to trying to unpack and stuff. I did restart the game completely closing out of the launcher and all too and no improvement. I will try again tomorrow but I have been here forever and never had a problem like this. So what's new except my cable company. We upgraded to high speed

Did you mean Rae or me? If you meant me - I do not run any LUA mods.

Yes, instead of 300'ish MBs I get 500'ish MBs; normally I get 1.3GBs without SotA running.

pinging @Tristano Sforza for eyes on the feedback. i also experienced this and forced me to switch to OCX tools. maybe there are some updates that could be made to how it processes data to avoid the hitch?

Could be some options on your computer/router that give the same amount of bandwith to each application. One thing is sure is sota doesn't use 500mb of data each second, i'm at 40mbits connection i wouldn't be able to play.
It has to be something with computer settings/wifi or the provider itself.

Just not sure how to diagnose this. I'll have to start searching and learn a few things. Thank you.

    @Alley Oop

You can lock this thread actually if you like. My hitching has been solved. If the speed issue is a SotA thing then I'll file a bug report.

Thank you for all of the assistance.
