Crate Mimics

This isn't so much feedback for R30, as it is a general idea I've had for a while: Crate mimics. If anything in the game needs something to help them out, it's the crates. They've been taking a beating for a long time. There ought to be something in the game to make an avatar think twice before smashing a crate.

Now I think it is sad that they didn't do more with the barrel mimics they used to have. Those could really fit into some of the newer scenes.


What we could have gotten:




List of suggested mimics:

• mug mimic (small tiny things)
• (flying) book mimic
• bed mimic
• tree mimic (really more like a treant which looks like the harvestable tree)
• Gustball mimic (where there were suggestions that there should be a lvl5 spell that converted an ordinary gustball into a mimic as long as it had got 1000 damage or more)
• Gazebo mimic (which really is a gazebo of old legend)

 

Could have a lot of fun with this!

We can also have other varieties of chest mimics, like a golden chest mimic, to mimic golden chests.

 

A gustball mimic would be good. Maybe have it reflect back whatever is done to it one for one.

 

It is sad that mimics aren't really mimics at all. Just treasure chest monsters would be a more suitable name.

And there's already no reason to break crates lol.

 

I'm still waiting to see how they update the gustball. They said when they get more time to it, when the core came content is done, they'll do things like put sails or whatever on it to make it look wizardy or clockpunky or whatever the idea is.

 

I'd like to see an outhouse mimic.

 

Don't anger the mimics, or mommy might find out!

 

Agreed this could be a lot of fun and seriously dangerous.. lol

 

Chamber pot mimic? *Chomp* "Ow!"

How about a cloak mimic? Find an old cloak on a rack in a dungeon. Try it on, just because you're crazy. It strangles you.
