Crossbow/Polearm Question

I backed Shroud at the First Responder level. I backed Star Citizen day one as well.

Do I get the Polearm? Do I get the crossbow from Star Citizen?

Sorry to necro this thread like this , but I have a recent inquiry from a fellow guild member over at SC. So I take it that it's still possible to get the SC crossbow at this point by getting a SOTA Immortal Adventurer pledge or above ? ( I understand that the SOTA Vanduul polearm is no longer available).

 

I'll think of Iolo when I use the crossbow in Star Citizen.

The Vanduul Polearm will just be hanging up as decoration unless it's got some kind of a trigger, which it looks like it does.. then I'll use it from the top of my lighthouse.

Found an old announcement confirming the extension of this promo past April 7.

Would like to confirm the validity of the crossbow promo yet again. Star citizen will be demoing the FPS (first person shooter) module in Gamescon next week - and there is renewed interest in the SC-SOTA crossbow because of this.

 

Answering my own question with a response from CIG itself.

 

I can confirm the Polearm! I backed Shroud after the initial cut-off date, but since they reopened it I have it in-game. I was playing around with it as my primary weapon in R8.

 

Ok, I've got one big question, is the cross bow still available with life time insurance (star citizen)??? And if so, how long till it isn't??? Because I REALLY WANT THE CROSS BOW, no offense but is there a way to get the cross bow without the other things? Because I probably won't play this game either way, I just reeeaally need this cross bow!!!!

You should ask this in the Star Citizen forums instead.
The crossbow appears in the SC account so it is up to them how long that works in that game.

In SotA it seems that you get the SC reward as a SotA item at a pledge level, not from linking accounts.

 

I'm not sure if the crossbow comes with insurance. I think only ships have insurance in Star Citizen. I have not seen an end date for the promotion on the Star Citizen side. So if you back SotA, you should get the crossbow in Star Citizen when it ships.

I don't think you have to link the accounts in any way. I suspect when the two games are closer to launch, Portalarium and Cloud Imperium Games will hand each other a list of email addresses tied to the accounts, and they'll cross-reference them to figure out who they need to give the rewards to.

This crossbow we're talking about will be in Star Citizen. It was part of a cross promotion. Back both and you can get a special Star Citizen polearm in SotA, and a special Iolo crossbow in Star Citizen.

 

ah gotcha. i knew they had the polearm (and it looks sweet), didn't know they also had a crossbow. i'd love to see what that looks like one day.

It should work just like the ships, plus I found it on the website, takes a little searching.
The only down side I see on it is "UEE restriction level: red"
