I'm not sure if this is a bug, so I'm posting here. I've noticed in Superstition Canyon that the Elven Mages are insanely adept at dodging. I'm about level 85ish with 130ish water attunement, and I can unload my 1000 focus points on an Elven mage, attacking with ice arrows and ice fists ect., and the damn thing can still be alive at the end. It seems to dodge between 90% and 95% of my attacks. Pretty strong for a mob that's green to me. The elven warriors and archers do not exhibit this behavior. Has anyone else noticed mages dodging excessively?

There's a bug where a mob can dodge all of your attacks. Hopefully, it'll be fixed soon. The devs only barely started believing me.

I think this bug started when they added terrain height damage differences...Went to Crag Foothills, it's an exercise in frustration when the mages get into their dodge monkey mode, they can even still dodge 100% while running away with their backs turned (not supposed to be possible anymore), or any other angle.

This bug wastes tons of resources, especially when the mages get free heals during 'dodge invincibility mode' and completely heal from the brink of death...please fix.

See updates on this bug report (which also links to an older report on the issue). The issue appears to be caused by having an pet/elemental as an alternative target.

This sounds like what the Ghosts in Etceter Crag Mines were doing to me.

Looking at that thread, I see one thing that Ghosts have in common: they cast Drain Life. Well, that and having a pet, ouch, I usually would have my Phoenix out when it happens.

Looks like this may have been fixed in patch 645:
    • Enemies reported as “out of reach” for no apparent reason have been fixed.

Update, just tested in Crag Foothills with a bow, I can't re-create this one anymore since the last patch. I think it's fixed. \o/
